He had a few mop up series in a game or two early this year (only remember 1).

Opinions why no garbage time snaps to get more game experience against a P4 team in Illinois ?

If to preserve the redshirt, with the potential to be competitive in the next two home games, that would have been a good game to give him snaps in the 4th quarter.

Sure, it was just one game but maybe the only opportunity. I could see why not to play him against OSU either (too much to handle)…but why not last week ?

Surace has no redshirt to preserve. He used it last year.

He played most of Q4 against Oregon and earlier against Norfolk State. Maybe Schiano didn’t want to put in a sub until OSU did? I would like to see him play more, too.

Shelby confession: Shelby left at the end of Q3 on homecoming. Had better things to do than watch that debacle for any longer and didn’t care to look at game stats. Shelby did not know Surace played in the game.

Shelby does attend and root for Schiano’s team. His issue is the Grifter is a proven losing coach who’s stolen our hope for anything better than a participation trophy noon bowl game a week before New Years and only if the schedule breaks right.

A new hire may or may not prove better but keeping this thief on the payroll shows RU and doesn’t care to aim higher.

Shelby - Cheese sees only 2 possible reasons, both awful. (1) Coach trying to keep score respectable. (2) Coach too dumb to think beyond here and now.

Yeah- crazy that Jabu got 30 career passes and most of them in a game Teel was injured in 07.
Vedral- not any other choice
Wimstatt- Greg’s first fireable offense. Not recruiting a single QB one year to appease GW

Greg has two areas he has historically been stubborn in recruiting. QB and OL.

but Jabu???

Surace won't play until...
1) Rutgers is down big vs Maryland and they need a spark.
2) Losing big to Ohio St & lost to MD last week, guaranteeing 4-7, playing against Ohio St's 2nd and 3rd stringers.
3) Will start vs Penn St if locked out of a backdoor 5-7 bowl game.

Kid told Greg I’m leaving in Spring cause next year’s team gonna suck. Dad sez I will start and needs me. Being All Ivy and conf champs better than getting beat up every week at Rutgers. Career prospects better for a Princeton grad, and football more fun too.
