Switch up defenses

Still bugs me - just like with Cal- that we don't switch defenses


Use some zone and make them go sideways instead of straight line drives and bounce passes to the rim. Too many layups.


We don't have an elite rim protector like Quaintence right now.
We just do not play defense...been a major problem for years and we were told things would be different this time. Wait and see.

I agree 100 percent. Look how many times zone defenses hurt our teams with Calipari.

I realize they were playing cupcakes, but we kept them under nine points under their average and they're shooting percentages were not very impressive. The thing is they got a lot of easy baskets on all those turnovers so I still think the defense is quite a bit improved.

Pope switched some last season, and it paid huge dividends in some big games. I have no idea why he hasn't embraced the same tactic this yr thus far.
Switching defenses is certainly under utilized. It's a great way to hault your opponent's offensive rhythm.
