Thanks for the link, OP.

Wow. They are actually saying that?

You know what that means, assuming we cheat too?

It means we're too smart to get caught. It means they are stupid enough to get caught..

It means they are so ashamed of themselves that their best response is to say that our kids and coach are all cheaters.

What a lousy group of people. What a bunch of schnoz pickers. I hope they are never relevant again.

Syracuse fans despise UK and I really can't figure out why. When we were up there in 2010, we got booed pretty heavily though town by passing cars and had tons of their people come up to us saying they wanted UK to lose. I guess it's because UK beat them in 96 but I don't know.

Some of the posters there are level headed and get it. Every fanbase has its nut cases.

Evidently ACC actually stands for Atlantic Cheaters Conference. UofL should fit in well there.

It is an interesting contrast. People want to portray schools in the big, bad SEC as a bunch of cheaters...win at all costs programs with no regard for the rules or academic integrity.

Funny thing is, I don't hear anything about stuff like this going on in the SEC. What I DO hear are player suspensions and rape at Uavel, rape covered up at Duke and player kicked off team, decades-long unprecedented academic fraud with UNC*** athletics, longstanding academic fraud at Syracuse. These are just the current issues.

Out of that thread, this sentence stuck out to me:

With the history of Adolph Rupp, the tubby smith firing, the gillespie
ordeal and now hiring a guy who has clearly played outside the rules in
the past do you think there was not a reason they brought in a former
ncaa compliance guru?

So Rupp was a racist, Tubby got fired and Billy G's nonsense somehow equals cheating? This guy watches a little too much ESPN/Vitale ranting.

Cal's success leads to this. But, then I read the same here with some fans talking about Wooden, Coach K. cheating Roy (yes, everyone knows he was clearly aware of the academic fraud........um based upon what facts...?), Dean Smith, etc. For whatever reasons there is a need from some fans to put down others success and decide that it must be cheating.

In reality, one poster on that Syracuse board got it right. Our program has so much media and national attention that even if Cal wanted to cheat it would be extremely unlikely because of all the scrutiny.

Finally, of course it is beyond ironic that a program that hit with major sanctions by the NCAA would worry about anyone else at this point.

This stood out to me, too.
Rupp never cheated. A couple of his players shaved points.Smith wasn't fired, though he was under fire for sure. What does this have to do with cheating?Gillispie was a dumpster fire, but there was nothing akin to cheating around him.Sandy Bell was brought in to help *ensure* compliance, not to find ways around it. As the most scrutinized program in CBB, it was one of the best things we could have ever done.
Most of these slack jawed half wits have no clue as to the real history of UK and its alleged "cheating". Nor do they want to know. Ignorance is bliss.

Big Lou, we don't like to remember Sutton and the Emory package either. And all the alleged $100 hand shakes for Joe B's players. Being a UK fan I can see why all the chatter, but a lot of stuff over the years alone with winning will give us that reputation whether it's deserved or not.

I don't disagree, but I was addressing the specific examples made by the SU poster. The Sutton/Emory situation is an ugly stain on UK history, but we paid our dues and moved on a quarter century ago.

UK will always be a lightning rod for criticism because of our wild success along with a few black eyes. It comes with the territory. Still, I like to call haters out on their erroneous posts. It's my job.

The $100 handshakes go on everywhere, not just Kentucky. I was talking with a former athlete at another school just last week and was told they got money for whatever they needed all the time.

I still think there is something real fishy about that Emory package. Have you tried opening one of those things? They just don't pop open on their own. I will always believe that somebody planted that money and made it look like UK sent it.
