I question how upset A&M really is...not the fans, but A&M brass....why would they care? They left their conference and in doing so told Texas we don't need ya. They are a better program at this point. They have had success in the SEC. I don't get the issue here personally.

They, us, Mizzou should come home to save the big 12 that we all line up with better culturally. Bring in a few more up and coming like UCF, Cincinnati, Houston, and BYU and we've got pretty legit conference again. F*CK the B1G unless it gets us in on the superconference nonsense

Super conferences are more or less inevitable. It might be right now, it might be a few years from now. But NU, Mizzou, etc aren't going to leave prime spots for a AAC level trash conference when they would have to try and scramble back to a big boy conference later.

The amount of lost revenue in two more transitions and vesting time again would severely put us behind the curve for the better part of 20 years.

Agree with lite. Once I got over my initial reaction, I felt the same way about a&m. Maybe the chord has been cut long enough that they don't care and realize the benefits which should be more coin in their vault

At least now, A&M can walk into recruits houses and say, "yah UT is the flagship program for the State but we are the only team that competes on an SEC level".

When A&M loses that uniqueness, recruits no longer have to shun the states flagship program to play home and home with Bama, etc. Since everything is viewed as zero-sum, it is what it is.

From what everyone is saying including T-A&M. They want no part in being in the same conference as Tsucks. If thats the case, which Im sure it is. Money and recruiting shouldn't be an issue.

The B1G with the addition of Texas market by adding A&M would raise views and therefore TV contracts significantly. Recruiting should only add as now the would attract more to the northeast (most of your 5 *s outside of Florida.

The number one key to all of the is they wouldn't need to bow down to Tsucks which they do even while they are playing and recruiting better.
