I never thought he wasn't any good to begin with. It opens up a scholly for next years class which looks to be the best under Stoops!

The 2014 class has taken a beating. It was highly ranked but starting to look like there were a lot of busts in that class.

Yeah I was never impressed with his film he was like a dime a dozen type receiver. 2017 scholly will be huge due to talent in that class Stoops is trying to land.

Not sure I would call Williams a bust. He was a project, the kind of player that you take a flyer on, and hope he emerges. I didn't really expect much from him to begin with.

Overall, the class is still loaded with starting caliber players: Elam, Ware, Edwards, West, Boom, Juice, Bone, Baker, and quite a few others who still have high potential, most notably Barker.

Was thinking the same thing earlier today when I saw this news, but the reality is, this is the reality of attrition in big time college football. In 2014, UK signed 28 players (three Juco's and 25 HS Seniors). Of those 25 HS Seniors, seven are already gone (Hendrix, Krok, LaRubbio, Richardson Snodgrass, Tubman and now TV Williams).

Attrition comes in two types. You have attrition that results from academic casualties, legal trouble, violation of team rules and you have healthy attrition that results from upgrading your roster. In the past we were losing a lot of players for the wrong reasons. There has been very little attrition under Stoops compared to what you see at many programs and the ones we have lost were mostly due to upgrading the talent on the roster. Hatcher and Tubman are the only two that we've lost due to unfortunate circumstances

^ This is true. My post was just to illustrate that for various reasons, it does happen.

Sorry but I'm calling you out on this. It's obvious he wasn't a difference-maker on this team, and that's too bad for him and for the program. But your comments are basically kicking him when he's down, and I don't like that.

I'd like to wish him the best of luck wherever he ends up, and I do hope Stoops is able to put his scholarship to good use.

Not kicking him but he has barely played He has no size or doesnt even have the speed of receivers his size IMO. He has been here awhile and has he even caught a TD? IMO never cared for his game that much and he is a dime a dozen receiver. Ill stick by that as it seems the coaching staff agrees. Just speaking truth even if it hurts feelings I cannot help that.

If you have seen the VERY CLASSY tweet he left about loving this fan base, UK and encouraging everyone to continue to support Stoops, you know TV was a very respectable young man. I congratulate him and wish him the best on his new chapter in his life.

That's how you handle a departure as a player and a fan!

Maybe you don't think you're kicking him, but your words certainly come across that way. Look, when a drug-user/potential dealer like Ridge Wilson or Jason Hatcher or a malcontent/bad egg like Daylen Hall gets booted off the team, they don't get much sympathy from me. But when a good kid like TV decides to leave, it's apparent that he acknowledges that he's just not quite good enough to play. In that case, just wish the kid well and hope Stoops will find someone better to take his place.

One of the best players in this class is still a walk on. TV could not compete. Too small for SEC ball. Good kid, will do good someday

Charles Walker beating him out for slot WR really was a hard hurdle for TV to get past.

And changing channels now. But in all seriousness the kids has been class since he signed and really do wish him nothing but success. I think he can be a good player in the right place and hope he finds it. He and his family will always be part of BBN.

Best wishes and good luck, thanks for your efforts. Seems like he got recruited over, hope he lands somewhere that he can excel on the field.

Classy departure, wish him the best and thanks for the contributions. He didn't get a lot of chances, hope he plays at his new destination, I admire those little guys that go out there and battle the giants.

I wish the kid well. It doesnt pan out for everyone and it looks as if he is gracious. He will likely excel at a different level.

Seems like such a great kid. I really hoped that he would excel in this offense. He seems to have good hands and is clearly a bright marketable personality. I guess he just did not have the shifty Kio Sanfordesque speed we hoped. Wish him the best.
