Maybe so but they have been hot the last 2 weeks
Before us they beat two very bad teams, Ohio State and Minnesota, and before that beat an up and down Illinois team. And before that they had a series of losses. If we face a good uptempo offensive team right now, like one of the upper half Big 12 teams we will get run off the court.

Very happy we won, but we are not very good right now. Great that we are getting back to the tournament, but can‘t see us making any noise this year.
It does not matter. No one thought we were a real good tournament team heading into the year. Just getting there is great. I don't want them to think that way, but it is kind of true.

Best of Luck,
Groz

remember this well

what are the biggest comebacks?

in the 90s, I know there was a big one at Duquense and another at St Bonnies that went into overtime with a memorable Bruce Johnson call I believe during a raging snowstorm
Notre De, at the meadowlands iirc.

OSU at the holiday festival. Down line 8 with 20 seconds or something like that. Someone will remember exactly.

I remember the Damon game. He really hit a hot streak to close his final year here. What about that Nova game when Rice was coach? Not so much the deficit, but the time it took to erase it. What was it - 10 points in two minutes?

Can't believe all the naysayers on this board last night. Knew this one was in the bag all along. 26-9, 19 points down in the second half? Pfft, had them right where we wanted them. 😄

Its easy to say after the game but not when Rutgers was behind by 19 points.Penn State had wide open three point shots whch they missed in the second half. The reality is that both teams shot bricks in a 59-56 result.Rutgers is being applauded for the historic comeback and Penn State criticized for choking at crunch time.Bottom line take the win and be happy.

Hence, the smiley thing at the end.

We can definitely make noise....2 wins and you are Sweet 16 bound. ..If we play well it's a real possibility

Hope we do, and definitely, but we’ve been so inconsistent of late, it’s hard to envision us stringing together 2 solid performances.

He called our fans losers. I agree with him but justify yourself with this post and your post to me in the other thread.
Your gotchas need some work. He did no such thing.
You can find better gotcha material. I'm done on this.

So many losers on this board. Everyone should give Pike the benefit of the doubt. I can't predict the future, but I know we are "slightly" in better shape than for the last 30 years before he came here. "Slightly" as in the difference in size between Yao Ming and Muggsy Bogues.LOL.

Best of Luck,

@Knight Shift

It’s okay to admit when you’re wrong. I do it.

What's crazy about that Pitt game was we were down 20 with just under 8 min left. G. Billet missed a running three at the buzzer but Wenzel called timeout with 1 second left. They ran a play where Santiago ran all the way around past screens and ended up running right at the inbounder on the sideline and caught the ball as his feet were in the air and he was turning. He caught it, landed facing the basket and let it fly. Nothing but net. Pandemonium erupted on Pitt's court. I had it on VCR and watched it at least 50 times. Lol

I’ve seen posters call criminals animals on this board. How do you feel about that?
Heinous acts of physical violence perpetrated against innocent and unsuspecting victims, by uncaring, no regard for human life POS are animals.
Ah-knee-mals!
Why would you have a problem with that?
Be them cops, people of authority or just plain ordinary citizens…. They are animals in my book

Your relentless attacks on people who did not get personal, didn’t single out individual players or coaches. said nothing derogatory….simply observed we’re playing like **** and going to get beat by 30 is bordering on pathetic by you and your mob of perfect fans.
