To be fair, if this game was played tomorrow rather than today MSU wouldn't have been ranked, after getting blown out by ND. But this is a typical Izzo team who have played a gauntlet schedule against top competition and NU were the better team tonight.

MSU was also missing Malik Hall, one of their veteran stalwarts, but that doesn't take away from the unbelievable turnaround coming off a dud like the Pitt game. Coaches did a great job getting the team's confidence back up after allowing 88 ppints at home to a middling ACC team. Now they break for exams before hosting a Prairie View A & M team that is no cupcake next weekend.
