Tyra is such a dope, I’m not sure hemorrhaging money will get his attention. “Do nothing” is his mantra. Need to cut and run before it’s too late.

Wow! What a CardFan! I guess you forget the many of us that were ticketholders from Weber, T.W.Alley days! This fan base is spoiled, impatient.
Spoiled? Wow, from what? I’ve been around a while myself. We are another 3-4 years from a possible Governor’s Cup victory. Pretty important stuff to most fans. You? I guess not!

Perhaps. But we, well, some of us. No, wait. A lot of us have eyes. We can see poor leadership from Tyra and bad coaching from Satt. Perhaps you’re right, though. Maybe we’ll go to games, but we’ll boo. Which would you rather have, no shows, or boo birds? Trick question. There will be both.

Naw. We’ve made progress and hopefully will continue to do so. We already have enough fair-weather fans…I don’t plan on joining that group.
People will make their own choices but nothing gets attention more than empty seats and a huge drop in season ticket holders. Tyra’s fault? Neeli’s fault? Who knows. But, they both need to understand this - without Denny, Griff, Bill Olsen, Howard, Jurich, Pitino and yes even BP 1.0 the University of Louisville would be a shell of what it has grown to be.

I’d add JLS, Charlie, and BP 2.0. Bobby hired family, he’s a difficult personality, and he quit like a baby. But, he was pretty damn good before it went south. Damn good.

I think we will be pretty good next year. I’m looking forward to the season. To get Malik back and also have the return of our two best defensive players - Montgomery and Clark - is awesome. L’s up!!!

When it’s all said and done we are still small on the lines. We’ll get ***** slapped in the Governor’s Cup for at least the next 2-5 yrs. That’s a pretty important game.

Evidence? Well, the doughboy down the road has won only 39.2% of his conference games but gets raise after raise and extension after extension. Why? Because he’s identified our weakness and is exposing it in a big way.

If you don’t want to be there next year, no one is making you.

But Satterfield has a very good veteran team returning in 2022. All you will most likely accomplish with that boycott is to prevent Satterfield from winning enough games to get a “promotion” to whichever top program is looking to make a splashy hire.

But he will almost certainly win 7 or 8 games and get a 5th year as your UofL coach.

At some point, you have to ask yourself just how long you’re willing to boycott.

Satt is one thing. I’m done with Tyra. I’ll boycott as long as possible to rid that disease from Belknap.

You keep those 7 & 8 win seasons. Our goals should be much higher than that. Damn, have all you guys forgotten where we were and how close we’ve gotten to the top? And, 7 or 8 wins are nothing if you can’t win the Governor’s Cup. It’s just that simple.

The decision is made and doing what you suggest will do nothing but hurt the program. Just hope that you are wrong and root the Cards on next and let season 4 play out. He will be coaching for his job next year, it will either go well and he stays or it won't and he won't. I'd rather win than lose so Go Cards!

I was looking forward to next year because we are so young and if we kept everything together we would have really good year. When you look at our roster it is made up of mostly freshmen and sophomores. Because of that I do think
It would be hard to beat sUcK next year but in 2023 I think the game would be a toss up.
Give those freshmen & sophomores 2 mores years of game experience and physical development and we are on the same level. The thing that bothered me the most was the play calling at critical moments in a game. Hiring a dedicated offensive coordinator would change that for the better.

You actually think I don’t want more than 7 or 8 wins? I want to win championships - always have and always will.

What I’m saying is, if you’re convinced that Satterfield is not the answer and want him gone, the only way he’s gone after next season is if he wins 9+ games and becomes a splashy hire for whichever SEC program is looking for a coach next year. And the very good news for you is that, with the BS he’s dealt with from some in our fan base, he’s definitely gone when that offer comes.

So go ahead and boycott. Perversely, what you will succeed in doing with your absence is prevent him from winning more games and moving on. As a result, the veteran and decently talented team returning in 2022 will win 7 or maybe 8 games and Scott Satterfield will be your UofL coach for 2023.

I'm a Louisville area native and I live in South Carolina. After Dabo Sinney was hired in 2008 and after his third year of poor performances and coming off of a 6-7 season everyone was calling for him to be fired. The boo birds were loud (even calling him Dabo's Weenie). Things sure changed for him and Clemson starting in 2011.

I'm not convinced a boycott would have any effect. Attendance was already way down this year and they brought Satterfield back. If the top officials at the University aren't concerned about winning or making money through ticket sales, then the accountability the OP expects doesn't exist.

We may be in a situation more like the movie Major League.

Supporting the players, cheering for them, they can't take that away from us.

The changes in all sports, and life in general in the post Covid season are taking their toll on those marginal football programs …..regrettably UL is marginal, as it applies to attendance. I see the fan support at places like “the Big House”, “the Shoe” and so many SEC venues where they did not miss a beat. I understand now why there remains so much disparity between most schools and those who take their respective college football to another level.

UL FB fans only support a winner, and even then it seems that our competition must rise to some respected level before our fans will actually come out.

This is a very odd fanbase when it comes to football. The move to ACC has really has made it even more divided. In all the other leagues fans showed up and really believed the impossible was possible. Expectations were never completely out of whack. Now expectations are out of whack.

To expect this staff to be a finished product in year 3 is not realistic. It was a mess. We really can’t complain about recruiting when we don’t show up to games. If people don’t think full stadiums impact recruiting, especially at Louisville, people are mistaken.

Players play, coaches coach and fan support. That is how it works. When those 3 things aren’t aligned schools struggle.

Anomaly - definition. Something that deviates from the expected. The 2-10 football season was an anomaly, not the indication that the program had hit rock bottom, only the HC.

On the other hand, the UK beat down was not an anomaly. It was third time in 4 years minus a Covid year. It was looking like it was going to be UK’s best team while finishing 2nd in the SEC East. After losing and being unprepared against OLe Miss, the UK win was expected.

The defense in 2018 was historically bad which was the culmination of the prior years dismissal of any concern by the head coach for the defense. It wasn’t an anomaly - it was the predictable effect of a revolving door of coordinators and shoddy recruiting on that side of the ball. Just as it took time to dig that grace, it takes time to dig out the grave.

Then I guess Satterfield’s 8-4 season after that was an anomaly.

Oh yes, the vaunted 2019 Cardinals defense will always be remembered. We every one score game we were in that season. And gave up crazy amounts of yards and points.
