Utah Valley Guard 6’5 RS Soph very athletic can shoot and create for himself and others. Played his freshman season for BYU and Pope then transferred after ont 6 appearances. His team is down late to Grand Canyon but he has 28 points looks like a very good player. Wife and I watching game she said Pope should go get him, she watches way more basketball then I do but I tend to agree with her. Thoughts? Grand Canyon lost as Bryce Drew and Grand Canyon will make their 3rd straight NCAA Tournament.

Are you considering Brea and Robinson guards os small forwards? We most certainly need a couple of stud guards via the portal along with everything else. It’s time to load up, guard against injuries with quality depth and start curb stomping people again.

lol, no we don’t!!!!
Even if KK returns we need 1 more.
Also anymore the difference in SF and guard can be quite blurred
Lol We have lewis chandler Perry Johnson oweh maybe noah can play the 2 also and sounds like Smith from Purdue again enough guards we need some pfs and forwards lol "stop recruiting over our guards "

Uh no. Our number 1 biggest need is a point guard. Hands down. No debate.
Wrong how many forwards and pfs do we have ? Unbelievable I guess you want to rebound the ball with a team like this

Asinine response we have 2 pg now how many pfs do we have god you can't be that mindless dumb take
You wanna just fill spots on the roster or do you want to compete for a championship? Because you don’t compete for a championship with an unproven freshman and Travis Perry (who is a 2 guard) running the show.

Let me ask you a question, which injury was more impactful this season? Losing butler or losing Carr? Because that’s the difference in your point guard and your power forward.

Maybe you need to learn ball before you go around calling other people dumb

guards are never enough

But forwards and centers are more urgent needs
Basketball like most sports is a possession sport. The more possessions the better your odds are at winning . If you can't rebound the ball you're not going to win alot of games I don't care how many pgs you have

Let's find a poor man's Jokic in Europe and then you have the guard play and big man play both in one.

Johnson and oweh can swing to small forward. Must have point guard along another scorer at forward and a center

And those two are not SEC material.

Have you seen Perry try to guard SEC guards ?

Chandler shoots 33% overall and 29% from 3.We HAVE to have better guards to compete.

1A- starting PG
1B- starting PF
When you secure those two you have a formidable starting 5 along with Oweh, Garrison and Johnson.
You use the other 2 or 3 spots for best available players and let everything work itself out in practice in regards to who makes the rotation.
