If you were a teacher, how much did you enjoy being forced to wear a mask? If you had kids in school, how much did you enjoy your kids being forced to cover their smile? May want to read the article below and if you are a teacher, may not want to join those unions. Also AFT was recently started locally and is aligned with NEA. If you don’t agree with NEA crazyness, you don’t want to join AFT either. There are other insurance options out there for teachers that don’t have political agendas like those two groups.

Mandatory masking and vaccination is asking to be considered for upcoming school year at the largest teacher conference…see link below. Oh by the way Fayette county school board chair Tyler Murphy sits on the board of NEA organization pushing the above among other crazy ideas like replacing “mother” or father with “birthing parent”.
Also, please consider joining the Facebook group “Kentucky Kids Matter” and if local join also “Fayette County Kids Matter”. We stand up for kids in those groups 😁.

Any worker, not only teachers, who would join a union that isn’t involved in politics is an idiot. Workers are either at the table or they are on the menu. Being part of the discussion of determining your working conditions isn’t privilege but a matter of respect. Determining salary, benefits, and working conditions for public employees, including teachers, is a political process, so why would they choose to not want to be part of that process or have representation in the process?

Because it’s detrimental to our kids health and well being. That’s enough for me. How many kids do you have? I’ll clarify I’m not against all unions but many teacher unions like NEA and AFT advocate policies and ideas that are detrimental to our kids health and well being….therefor also putting our society on a larger level into the dumpster.

Being part of a union representing the best for yourself and students is a great thing. Being part of a union advocating for continued child abuse is a whole different animal. Teachers have a moral obligation to stand up to this nonsense for their students and their own profession.

Im a pro union guy that has been involved in union activity throughout my professional life. That said, I fully support disbanding teachers unions as they have gone rogue and only serve their own interests and not those of the people they are tasked to teach.

Reagan got rid of the ATC controllers and union for going rogue, and the teachers deserve the same treatment here. If a teacher wants to continue this nonsense, there’s the door…
