Unless you are the “mayor” of “Lincoln”, or the city council. When everyone of your neighbors goes up double digits, and theirs doesn’t budge. Totally on the up and up. Nothing to see there, either (I’m sure).
Monday I'll do a post on something similar to that. There is NO rhyme or reason to the year by year assessment of homes in every city in this country. I've been working on this for a two weeks and the numbers make zero sense.

But, I'm gonna drop it now and get ready for some football. I'll take a 1 point win today.

You have some interesting hobbies!

You love numbers, don't you? Handicapping and budgets.

More excellent standards and behavior from the best of the best that Public Schools have to offer. The whole system needs bleached, as evidenced here by the “teachers” that spend their days on message boards. The whole public system is way past the point of no return. But do tell us how it’s so “hard” and basically impossible to at least not be a creepy, lazy pos. It’s always a good laugh.
They’re like the VA and most federal institutions at this point- they’re just loaded with ~10x too many people with jobs for the purpose of having a job when budget renewal came up for review, and 70 years later we have programs that CANNOT work just because of their sheer size. There’s nothing to do but start over.

This is true. Once they started letting non-teachers (educators) get involved, it became worse and worse. All of a sudden you have administrative buildings with 10 people doing the same job in the same department with bloated salaries.

Non-teachers found out that there was money to be made in education, BUT, they realized they would not have to be teachers but could hide in admin-buildings all day, make a nice living, have a great retirement and never actually deal with kids.

And their raises get rubber-stamped every year while the Superintendent fights like hell against teacher raises.

Teacher of the Month (Kansas)

"Teacher of the Month"...HA!

They did a "Teacher of the Quarter" at my school for awhile. All it turned into was the women teachers who didn't do much teaching putting together a rec letter each time so their friends would get the "award." It took like 5 years until a legit teacher got the award, and by then he was so embarrassed to get it because it meant his picture was now on some board with the who's-who of teachers in the building that didn't do squat.

No jokes about this. Wrong on every level.
It had to be the parents fault. We all know teachers would NEVER, and it’s the parents fault. Anyway, this is hilarious and the kids always bait the teachers into it.
