Ranked highest in kenpom thanks to a generous preseason ranking.
It doesn't jive with the general sentiment on this board, but this team is solid defensively according to Miya, Kenpom, and Barttorvik. It's top 15 in defensive rating across all 3 systems. The offense lags behind atm.

The top 15 defensive ranking is based on beating Little Debbie College, Hostess Cupcake Tech, and Pepperidge Farm’s School of Cake Making.
eventually that will catch up to us if we don’t start winning some quad 1 games. It’s possible to go 0-fer in quad 1 and still be top 10 in NET if you really run the score up on your cupcake opponents.
But the committee would seed you lower than your NET at that point because of the lack of quad 1 wins.
I trust my personal "Eye Test" over all these rankings. But my problem is -- from game to game -- I can't decide what the heck I'm seeing.
I know what I saw against the good teams, and I didn't like it. But I am trying to keep a good positive attitude with where we can go when JQ gets back. I don't have a lot of faith in Lowe ever playing to full strength this year. But I think the big man wants to get back and kick some ***.
The lofty defensive ranking has more to do with the pre season rating than it does with the actual beating of cupcakes.
This is 2025. This stuff is adjusted for SOS lol. You can't just beat up 350th ranked teams and expect it to make a difference lol.
