I’m afraid this might have happened a season too late.Sellers has the look of a Qb who because of such poor O line play the last 2 years is just seeing the rush and is not confidently standing in the pocket looking down the field.One can hardly blame him and I hope he hadn’t been ruined.But he wouldn’t be the first young Qb to be ruined by poor O line play.I hope he’s still salvageable.

What about the leader of the offensive disaster?
Does Shula get a pass?
If so, Teasley is just a token firing and will accomplish nothing towards fixing the offense.

Teasley is the scapegoat to calm the villagers mid season. Beamer fired him so that it looks like Beamer is "doing something to address the problems" when, in reality, Beamer is a lot of the problem.

You could easily be right about Beamer given his hirings since he's been here. There are rumblings that Donati was in his ear and put the heat on Beamer to make a change now instead of at the end of the season. If true, I hope he does the same thing at the end of season so Beamer knows that Donati isn't playing around but they also need to get serious about opening up the checkbook if Shula is shown the door (God willing) so we can get someone with an encouraging track record. I've said from day one that the Shula hire was mistake and I was right. Yeah, Cam Newton made him look good for a couple of years, but the rest of his coaching history had failure written all over it.

If Donati did get actively involved in a position coach change mid season, Beamer might want to start cleaning out the closets at home to make packing for the move easier after this season.

That level of micromanagement by an AD would signal a pretty severe overall unhappiness with the football program in general.

Perhaps so, but you could also look at it in the sense that Donati expects more from our football program as any AD should

Donati knows an SEC football program should be THE king of our athletic teams. Just like the rest of the conference with the exception of Kentucky. I don't want to be Kentucky and I don't think he does either.

It is inexcusable for Beamer to have held on to Teasley as long as he did. It was obvious since the North Carolina opener two or three years ago that Teasley was not the right choice for OL. That does not exude confidence in Beamer. It just does not, to me.

Beamer needs to carefully look at Luke Day and the job he is doing as Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. It may be my imagination but it seems like we have had an unusual number of injuries during Beamer's time here.

And, of course, everybody is hollering about Shula. Our offense ranks 121st out of 134 teams. We are averaging 310 yards per game. We will see what Shula does with a new OL coach. Obviously, Shula could not have drawn a more difficult defense to start anew. Oklahoma's defense is ranked number 1 in the nation, averaging giving up 211 yards per game. But, he has to produce anyway.

So who did the O line coach answer to Beamer or the OC? If it was the OC and he was okay with play performance why is he not gone also? This isn't a new problem. I remember Rattler running for his life.

That's a good question. I don't believe anyone outside the program knows. Here is what is factual: In Teasley's first 2 seasons as OL coach when it was obvious to everyone including Stevie Wonder from the get-go that Teasley is not a SEC-caliber OL coach, the OC and AD respectively were Dowell Loggains and Ray Tanner. In Teasley's 3rd season, the OC and AD respectively are Mike Shula and Jeremiah Donati.

How often are position coaches fired in mid-season? It's rare. There was more to firing Teasley when we did, than meets the eye, in my opinion.

Evidently no one answers to Beamer. He said in the post game presser that he said give the ball to Fuller more after his TD run. He got 5 touches after that. That’s more by definition I guess, hard to believe that was the intent of the statement.

Be honest with yourself man ... No one cares about that. They want the cash. And until this is wrangled under control by some kind of rules, i don't blame them. Think about it... If I don't care about school in high school and only focus on football, I could make 3 million dollars my first year of college.... Quit, never play again, and never work a single day in my life....

And that's living an average lifestyle.

I wouldn't give 2 cent about tradition or a school.

You would have to care enough about HS to graduate so you could get that college football job.
