I have been watching CNBC today and all the top CEO and staffers from the largest tech companies in the world are in Washington meeting with Senators discussing AI and how to regulate it in the future. I totally understand the need for this b/c AI is going to be a game changer for the world. What I dont understand is making this a closed door meeting. I think this should be open or at least be reported on. We all know the Senators are receiving knowledge that will be used to make money in the market with themselves and/or their family. This isnt UFO or war time info being discussed. Will be interesting to see what info comes out from this meeting and what trackers are out there for down the road when the Senators involved in this meeting rake in their millions from just a good investment thought they had.

There’s probably stuff they’ll talk about that would create a panic, so I get the need for a closed-door session, but it does not look great.

Cyberdyne is real. The first 2 movies were actually documentaries. Then AI took over and made the crap that came after. That was Skynets true purpose.

It's already being used by the state to censor. Call of duty is using it to listen to ''bad words'' in game chat. Even if your mic is muted it still picks it up. Even in party chats with friends that are meant to be private.

''Hal, open the launcher''
''I'm afraid I can't do that"

That’s not the state. I can also verify that COD ain’t censoring much. I haven’t played COD for a while but I always played with melee weapons because people would absolutely lose their minds. Son does the same thing and says it as bad as ever.

I had to start muting people when I play games online. I've had some more than a handful of 10 year olds that need their mouths washed out with soap.

*note: for the most part the language doesn't bother me, its a 10 year old calling me a stupid n$&*# (I'm whiter than Casper) and then threatening to rip my dick off with tweezers that really rubs me the wrong way

Guessing they did not want the public to hear what the truth really is with AI and especially did not want countries like China and others listening to what the top minds in the US are saying about it.

First it’s the games. Then the forums. Next the social media, maybe phones if they can legally get away with it. And finally in smart homes/apartments and schools. Not to mention using this tech to manipulate one’s beliefs, about social issues, politics, corporate products, celebrities, or eve simply making it a pleasant experience so you do it more.

Social media users hurled criticism at Microsoft this week for what many thought was an AI-generated obituary for NBA player Brandon Hunter on its website MSN.
The controversy began after the obituary — which had a headline that read “Brandon Hunter useless at 42” written by “Editor” — appeared on the Microsoft-owned platform after Hunter’s death on Tuesday.

The obituary goes on to refer to the former Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic player having been “handed away on the age of 42” and claimed he “performed in 67 video games over two seasons and achieved a career-high of 17 factors in a recreation in opposition to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2004.”

Probably some of my favorite movies(T2) and franchise ideas in general. Absolutely love Terminator. I can even deal with the **** after the second. Some were “okay”, others utter trash.

I asked ChatGPT to write a Taylor Swift song and it just sent me a link to her discography.

It’s closed door because the Senators are all old af and will be asking the dumbest f**king questions imaginable.

The few times I subjected myself to the awfulness of watching those open hearings, two things were very clear to me:

1) congress is almost entirely morons, especially so when it comes to tech and

2) there is barely any illusion of who actually has more power: hint - it isn't Congress.

I didn’t think T3 was terrible, and I did love the ending, just not nearly as good as the first 2.

Salvation was garbage
The Sarah Conner Chronicles was boring as hell. Saved by the hotness of Summer Glau

Genesyis legitimately made me angry to the point that not only have I not seen ‘dark date’ but I genuinely wanted to burn all copies of it so it would never be released

I didn’t mind T3 really. Hated Salvation, the rest I wanted to watch but not in theaters or anything.

I actually like the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Wish it was more than 2 seasons. Lol

I don’t like when franchises completely act like a previous movie never took place. Grinds my gears.
