Technically true but misleading assessment of Rattler's 2022 season

Loved this line from the referenced article: "Rattler had one of his best seasons since coming to South Carolina football last year."

Yikes.

DL is saying all the right stuff. I especially like how he spoke about making sure Ratt is comfortable in what they're doing. Didn't seem like that was the case last year until the UT game.

The fact that the Arkansas fans were upset that DL left, was a good endorsement. Time will tell.

We were exact opposite with Satterfield, LOL.

Since 2022 was his only season since transferring to South Carolina, I suppose you could technically say it was one of his best. But I suppose you could also technically say it was one of his worst.

Depends which game you're looking at! Tale of two seasons for Rattler, all wrapped up into one.

Loggains is the offensive expert. I Look forward to the team scoring many, many points!

Well, he has a very dubious track record, albeit in the NFL. Let's hope failure in the NFL translates to college success.

I think Ratt is going to blow up this year. It's a contract year for him. Sounds like he and The Logg are in sync. He's got pass catching play makers all around him. UNC's D is a less talented version of UTs. 9/2 is going to be a very bad day to be a heel.

We're going to have to score a ton of points because I think our defense will allow a ton.

Our secondary is extremely good and if we reasonably control the run and don't give Maye all day to throw, we should be fine.

I'm not so sure. I like our secondary. The DL will be solid...not great, but not terrible either. Getting Kaba back at LB will be big. I think Pup will make an impact early as well. Having said all of that, I do think Clayton White is on the clock. If we don't see improvement this year, his seat should be hot!

Yeah, he's had plenty of time to fix the defense's run game issues. This is his tell all year.

I would agree. If we're in the 100s in run D for the third straight year, Beamer needs to help him find a landing spot.
Having a horrid run D makes the secondary look much better statistically. If opponents can move the ball on the ground they don't throw it very much so the passing yards given up look really small. Those type stats can mislead people into thinking the secondary is really good when, in fact, they are not really defending much in the way of passes.
