hate to say it, but it has to be JCA PC this year. PC a little bit down from last season, JCA a little better.

it's been a great opening week game for the last couple of years. It's not JCA-MC but it is good.

If falcon wins, is that going to causeva death spiral at wws

Let's say WWN pulls the mild upset. Tiger will be fine:

WWS 42 - Lake Park 14
WWS 21 - GN 20 (good history against GN?)
WWS 17 - Nequa Valley 14
NC 21 - WWS 14
WWS 27 - Waubonsie Valley 21
WWS 35 - Metea Valley 16
WWS 62 - West Chicago 6
WWS 24 - NN 13

Thinking WWS is going to be very good this year? Any help? Not sure about how good NV and NC are going to be.

Did Lake Park know what was going to happen here in the DVC? Will they ever make the playoffs in that brutal conference?

I don't think so. WWS will still be in hunt (recall last year). However, much better to win this early game and jump in drivers seat.

This game is probably a little more important for wn to win than WWS.

JCA-PC, or maybe Stevie-Palatine would be a good game. Not sure what Palatine brings back from last year. Or sit at home and watch them all on high school cube.

Yorkville @ Plano (5A - 4A matchup) this should be a good one. Also great Porkchop sandwiches served at the Plano concession stand. #ReaperNation

Hornet - Witty -

I don't think I am wrong. The last three years, WWS was supposed to have fielded teams the state was "to watch out for" (good god, where is Dr. M and MW to help rephrase that awkward phrase). Even the year they made the state run a few ticks back, they were hardly overwhelming, and a lot of us saw them as having gotten hot and finding a good draw.

The WWS posters on the board, a knowledgeable and well represented lot, have given us a sample of the dissatisfaction of recent years...it was loud and very noticeable. The last few years have not been for the faint of heart at WWS.

With expectations high - once more - an upset to start the season might just cause a disturbance in the force. And given how difficult the dvc might be this season, that is not a good thing.

Witty - not counting the WN game, even in your projections, you have four games as TD or less wins for Tiger. That means, assuming as our hypo does, if WN wins, that WWS is four possessions away from a five loss season.

Even in your example, the Tigers won't be fine.

All this said, they can very easily win the DVC, the point of my response was <<if tiger falls to falcon>>

I'll be honest JC, I am not too familiar with the DVC this year, especially with the D-204 schools joining. Your points are very valid. I thought I read a comment from a WWS poster that this year, this WWS team should be very solid. I know they've had great defenses over there as of late, so I am assuming that will continue. I have no idea how NV or WV will be this year. I will be waiting for Edgy's reports. Yes, most of those victories are not by a wide margin, but that coaching staff will find ways to win games. And, of course, the Mustang is 0 - 3 against WWS (all in the damn playoffs), so I might be giving the Tiger too much credit. I just know that the NC game each year is always close.

My definition of "fine" would be, at the very least, a 7 - 2 record. That's assuming a loss to WN, addressing your post. Playoffs? 1 - 32, my friend. WWS will have a decent seed. Combine that with a tough DVC schedule, WWS will be prepared come playoff time.
