More points on UK yesterday than Ohio and Appy St combined!! Meanwhile:
WSU and Mike Leach are 8-2 and a shot of winning the P12..Troy and Neil Brown are 8-1 with a shot at NYD bowl..WKU. And Jeff Brohm are 8-3 with a definite shot at an excellent bowl and last, but certainly not least, and especially after last night Otis has probably a 90% shot of making the playoff ... Not really a great time in the bluegrass for CAT fans.

Slugger, you seem to be the kind of guy who's more worried about what his neighbors are doing than what goes on in your own house. Jealously will eat you up. Enjoy the moment - UK turned the season around from a disastrous start, went .500 in the SEC and should be going to a bowl. Plus, we are losing a bare minimum of seniors. Not really a terrible time in the Bluegrass.

And we scored more points on Tennessee than anybody else except Alabama. And while I give you the excellent job that Leach has done this year at WSU, and also Petrino at UL, do you honestly think that UK would not have the same kind of success playing a C-USA or Sun Belt schedule, regardless of the coach?

To each their own...so is next year a no excuse year for you or is there one in the near future? It will be a much tougher schedule and a decision will need to be made on the future of the program to keep from hurting recruiting. If it is another 6-6 will you be satisfied? You are right about one thing...I see all my neighbors around me doing great with coaches we could(should) have had ,especially when I have no confidence in MS getting it done.

Our pts total is very deceiving as we scored two tds with the game out of reach. Fools gold..and no I'm not confident UK would beat troy or Western.

I'm pretty confident that recruiting is as good as it's ever been at UK. And I don't get this much tougher schedule part. We replace a road SEC game against the favorite to win the national title in Alabama, with a home game against Ole Miss. We get Fla, Tenn, and UL at home next year instead of away. We replace NMSU with Easterm Michigan, a better team, but still a home game against a MAC school that we will be favored in. Where's the "much tougher" part?

What record did you predict before the year begin? The schedule was predictable. There has not been a team at UK in the last 50 years that could have had a new OC lose 2 starting quarterbacks by the Second game and win more games then this team. What is your excuse that UK won't be the most improved team in the SEC next year if the OC doesn't leave so some of the teams also had new Coaches and Young players this year so do we. By the way if you predicted 3 wins this year and we just win 6 and you predict 6 for next year and we win 9 I think most of us will be glad.

420 rushing yards and never in the game...sad.

All that running production and in TWO consecutive games within the opponents 10 yard line, HCMS chooses FG over going for it.

We get blown out of the Pizza Pit and I don't think that there's much enthusiasm around a team limping into a ****** bowl game losing 3 out of last 4.

Ask Neil to come home.

Man, this thread (and board at times) is a cesspool of people who just want to be miserable. This team isn't as good as we want it to be, but is better than it was at the start of the season. We lost one game we weren't supposed to lose and won a couple we weren't supposed to win (based on Vegas odds). We have put out a dumpster fire and managed to do enough to get to a bowl game (assuming we win Sat, which I think is a safe prediction).

I don't care what other teams are doing. At the beginning of the year many people wanted us to beat the lower-half of the SEC and get to a bowl game. We did exactly that. We beat the teams we need to beat in order to move up the ladder and we lost to the teams that are more talented than us. I'm not happy we are only going 6-6, but I can take a step back and realize that this team had some major hurdles after the rough start and chose to fight and get better as oppose to lay down and quit. Because of that we will likely be playing a 13th game after Christmas and I'm looking forward to going.

We probably don't beat UT or Florida home or away. To replace our wins this year we have to beat Vandy, USC, Miss. St. on the road. Go to Southern Miss and Georgia to avenge losses. Ole Miss will be a tough home win so replacing Bama for a home game is no guarantee win. If we don't win Vandy, USC, and Miss. St. all three on the road it will be hard to win more than 6.

You REALLY should go root for UL and Western and Troy. You'll be a much happier person.
I root for for troy because of Neil and wku because had niece and nephew go there...NEVER for Otis, but dosen't take away the facts of the situations regarding fband you left out WSU...have a great day.

Terry is right....if we hired Leach and he averaged 10 pts a game everybody would go crazy in disappointment...we hired supposedly one of the top defensive mind in the game and in year 4 cannot stop a competent offensive team

As much as we laud his & Marrows recruiting this roster has some serious holes and our staff plays games like we have Bama's roster

You do realize we used about 10% of our playbook on offense against Appalachian State and Ohio? Without Hurd, our offense is playing a lot smoother. We put up over 700 yards of total offense against A&M without him in College Station.

The horse is dead already.

Yes, absolutely. It's getting quite annoying. We haven't been to a bowl game in years, so we have to come up with "we could have had so and so coach" (as if they'd do the same thing here at Kentucky - in the SEC - as they're doing in their locations.

Everybody wants to win, period. But when we win, we find ways to discount it and for some, it's never good enough. I like to try and find the positives in life. We're very likely going bowling after:

Losing to USM
Getting demolished by Florida
Losing several KEY defensive players (Tubman, Hatcher, Meant) as well as very young talent)
New OC
Back up quarterback with limited passing ability.....
(I've posted these items in other threads, but still relevant to this one)
And we're going bowling....

We will be lucky to win 6 games next year just as we were incredibly fortunate to pull it off this year (assuming AP win)

Seven wins next year at a minimum. Guaranteed. Write it down, save my post. It will happen. We're moving in the right direction and will be even better next year. We'll go rip Southern Miss a new one, and take care of the games we are supposed to. Also have Florida and Tennessee at home. SEVEN WINS in 2017, minimum.

Hurd was the greatest thing going until he quit Thug U and now he is a bum. What a transformation. seems like we aren't even talking about the same five star player, LOL..

I have watched WSU a lot this year (won most of my bets on them) and they have a MARVELOUS QB and a very good RB (not to mention WRs that catch the ball, 72%), Colorado is a good team and who knows who wins, but I think you are selling WSU way short. They have some overall talent also.

The part you are missing is Colorado has a excellent pass defense and front 4
