How do they get out of this mess, seriously? Did they really sign him and fire him the next day. What coach wants to put to be subject to this bs. I don't know the involvement of Schiano at PSU, never heard his name around that. What a dumpster fire

Notre Dame hired George O'Leary for a couple of days, then decided something completely irrelevant on his resume was cause to fire him.

I don't see Tennessee as damaged beyond repair. They do need to get their **** together and complete the process with no more scandals.

Schiano should have known the risks of signing with hillbillys from the conference that eats their own. Hopefully, he nails them for major damages. His reputation is toast for any future HC jobs at Power 5 schools. I’d love to be his lawyer.

I forgot all about that, didn't he lie on his resume though? Something like, amount of years coaching or winning a championship?

Tennessee hired and withdrew their off the same day. I bet they end up with someone easy like Tee Martin. They may get lucky and get David Cutcliffe away from Duke. He wouldn't be a sexy hire and he's 63, but he could get the program back in shape for the next guy. (That scenario sounds vaguely familiar)

It wasn’t even that significant!!
After being hired, they noticed on a biography written 20 years prior, O’Leary claimed he was a 3 time letterman at the University of New Hampshire.

Supposedly he's turned Tennessee down..

Bo is available. He's got SEC experience but no doubt would have a huge buyout at YSU...

Seriously though, if it's not Martin, my list would go as follows:

-Neal Brown
-Dave Clawson
-Chad Morris

If they could pull one of those guys, at this point it would be a major success.

This is all planned. They faux hire Schiano and get everyone up in arms about moral issues, backout and then ink Petrino whose alleged transgressions pale in comparisons.

You lower the bar with Schiano thus paving the way for Petrino

Too bad Tennessee and Ohio State didn't play next year, assuming Schiano doesn't get another job.
