I really like your pitching staff ! Our bullpen has been roughWe aren’t good enough to get #4, nationally, to your #6 team in the SEC, no doubt a very strong conference. The ACC, we finished 2nd in the regular season & ACCT to Georgia Tech, who isn’t bad at all.
You guys have seen a lot of strong pitching within your conference, so I think you will do well. Time will tell.

We roughed him up a little in Greenville earlier this year, plus this isn't like Oklahoma last year playing a #3 (Nebraska) that barely broke .500. ECU won't want to go into the lover's bracket then have to win 3 in a row vs us and Tennessee. Again, I'd be shocked if they don't throw Norby.
This is a tough draw...especially for a 5 seed. I'd trade any one of 6-11's regional for ours, and they're all seeded below us.
For us, Bass, I really feel like it comes down to our starters being able to give us some length. We have a few electric arms in the bullpen, and they should be fresh. Three of iur pitchers were top 4 in the ACC in ERA. McDuffie and Glauber out of the pen and DeCaro, our Friday night guy. If we can get 18 IPs out of our starters in the first 3 games, we should be in really good shape if there's a game 4.
Our coaches typically don't mess around and risk losing to a 4 seed by throwing our #2 or 3 guy, and VCU is not your typical 4 seed. That's what makes this regional so tough..no cupcakes. But win or lose, you won't see our best guy unless he comes back out on short rest for the final game.
Our offense is adequate, and we tend to hit in spurts. Gallaher, our 2B, has been Mr. May for us the past two years. A couple of bats have started to heat up this last month of the season, which helps.
Read or listen to anything you can for analysis. The team here at IC has covered A LOT of postseason baseball over the past 20 years. This is our 10th straight postseason appearance and the 12th time we've hosted in the past 20 seasons, I believe. Read anything Greg Barnes or Grace Nugent write. The podcasts are great, too.

Hopefully we can build on that weekend as a fan base. Tennessee doesn’t have quite the sex appeal LSU has, but they’re still a name opponent. I’m curious what you think about Blanco Friday and Kuhns Saturday, especially with Kuhns not pitching last weekend.
Blanco is an interesting choice for me Friday! He has been hit hard first couple innings last couple outings and then settles down but kuhns definitely is our ace I could see them starting blanco and bringing in cam the freshman if he gets in trouble last outings at Arkansas blanco slider hung a lot which caused him to get hit hard! I know yall had experience with him before but from what looks like on our end they think can get by with him Friday but really depends on how he settles in early really looking to see if Mack our third guy can go this weekend
Thanks. I wonder if they consider ECU a better matchup for Blanco given ECU’s relative lack of power (56 HRs) and the fact that the Bosh is more of a pitchers park.
I would bet Decaro starts Friday, he’s our best bet to go deep into the game Friday. Lynch has pure stuff, elite velo, elite spin on every pitch, if he’s down in the zone he’s tough for anyone. If Decaro can get us 7 Friday and we get a decent lead it saves the 1-2 punch of Glauber and McDuffie for Saturday out of the pen. If the offense can generate anything those 3 gives UNC a chance to beat anyone.
