I was looking at the various violations that Tenn just got sanctioned over. As was covered in the other post on this topic, they got off easy. However, among the list are some items that go way beyond the NCAA. A coach handing cash (from some funding source) to a player is a federal matter, and not merely NCAA. I did not see much about this but these get into tax evasion and RICO. Seems like this would turn into quite a story.
Heard that Miami may has a similar issue happening around their main funding source and some of the FB low level staffers facilitating cash transfers. was on ESPNU but they stopped short of whole story.
