All due respect to Micah, but "they" aren't choosing a coach based on whether or not you will go back to PSU. I'ma be honest with you. You're not that important.
Micah individually might not be. But PSU has basically said, "F the players, F the lettermen, F the fans, we'd rather have no coach than who those MFers want."
I’m not sure he will remember how to get back to PSU since he was here for such a brief period of time.
First of all, not all the fans want Terry. I would guess that maybe half at best do.
Second, how do you come up with "rather have no coach"? That is ridiculous hyperbole.
The Lettermen, while not United, do NOT want Smith in the job. Most love Terry but consider the position above his pay grade.
The majority want Campbell.
I never wanted Terry. Rather have no coach is not getting it done by signing day when we are HOPING to get one we could have had 2 weeks ago
So many people on these boards claim to have inside sources. Yet, their opinions all diverge on what is being said on the "inside." It's almost like people are making crap up.

Don't you know everyone does have an inside source? Problem is many of them end up being from inside their own head.
Choosing a coach based on public perception seems like a horrible idea to me.
If it’s true, Terry should jump on the Memphis job. If it works out great, if it doesn’t it will make a nice retirement for him.
Exactly what I was thinking. It’s not like he sat out a bowl game, he quit on the team for the entire year to make sure he got his payday in the NFL. Great for him, but pretending like he has any say at all is laughable.
It's true. I said yesterday and today he had options to interview and that his agent had gone to work so to speak but didn't mention schools.
The Big 10 (and Franklin in all of his actions) had stated they were not playing the 2020 season. So Micah signed with an agent … he did try to get eligibility back when they changed course but the ncaa wouldn’t allow it. Not sure what he did wrong there

Just an estimate of Lettermen I know and then who they talk to regularly. It’s not scientific precision but it is fairly profound and illustrative.
It’s also relatively meaningless as tne University will hire who the feel is best (right or wrong). And who they can coerce into signing on dotted line.
But it does reflect that not all or even majority of ex-players “want Terry.” Quite the opposite.
