do you have filter options selected on football board? check above the posts to see if you are filtering the messages.

You probably accidentally sorted the posts in an order other than most recent. In order to sort so most recent posts are at the top, click on the "Last Message" header on the thread list, so the arrow points down. (If you're using a mobile device, you may have to flip it to landscape to see the headers.)
