Meant that as a very sincere compliment ... as Jackson's on pace for one of the greatest seasons of all time. If Alabama can hold onto Kiffin for another year or so (doubtful) and maybe even if not ... sky is the limit for Hurts.

Saban's never had a top-shelf quarterback at Alabama. Maybe he'll win a few games now.

Hurts more physical Lamar more elusive. They dont look similar at all. I think Lamar has a better passing game. If it were me I would recruit Lamar over Hurts but Hurt could be a Big Ben type in NFL. I think if i were needing a QB in NFL I would look at Hurts hard seems he could develop into a Big Ben type QB. Im not sold on his passing game yet but he is a frshman QB starting at Bama and by the time he is a senior will be a huge force. Can see BAMA winning multiple titles if Hurts stays healthy.

Scary how good they could/would be with a top-shelf QB. If this kid can start hitting the downfield passes...look out.

Saban confirmed that Eddie Jackson is out for the rest of the season. That's a big loss. It's a shame, he's a really good kid, too.
