Texas A&M @ Kentucky Game 3

It's a good thing I'm in here by myself. It is now 8-2 and giving up runs with two outs again. I'm done commenting again today or I will definitely say something I regret.
This team is DEFINITELY going to miss the SEC tourney and with mid-week games against Louisville (2), Indiana, Michigan this is going to get UGLY.
If i were a betting man , i would bet the under... don't see anybody they can beat. For some if you guys who are ardent fans , is this the worst team you've ever seen UK field?
Hands down this is the worst team I’ve seen since I’ve had season tickets. I’m not sure about the Madison years. I’ve had tickets since 2008 and even in Henderson’s tenure the team wasn’t this bad.
Right now, Kentucky doesn’t win a series at all in SEC play. UGA is top 10. Vandy is top 10. Their midweek games: 2 against UofL. Indiana, Michigan. Will they get to 20 wins is the big question.
The problem is ...there are no prospects for it being any better next year...i think Mingione should fire every assistant after this season and bring in an entirely new staff. At least that looks like he is making an effort. I have already seen enough to show me he isn't the guy. He is worse than Henderson.
Sadly I think they will. UGA is really really good. Vandy has two of the top freshman in the league. And lets not forget, they travel to Florida, MIzzou and Ole Miss. Play Arkansas and Tennessee at home.
Honestly, I think the whole staff needs the boot. I know its year 3 but I have seen all I need to see out of this staff. Minges first year was fools gold looking back. The pitching staff has sucked. The offense hasnt been able to hit SEC pitching. They have zero wins against P5 opponents. Good grief what a train wreck.
We couldn’t even get in the post season with a ton of pro prospects last year. Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t see this superstar coach others are seeing.
I'm actually leaning towards this. I don't like Mingiones philosophy. He's heavy on the JUCO recruits and doesn't seem to develop talent.
I think that Mingione tries to recruit too many guys that he loses to the draft. I believe that this pitching staff is under developed. I think that Belanger should be let go.I hate when they give up on a starter early because I have no confidence in the bullpen. Ramsey is a train wreck, Coleman is inconsistent, Harper is also inconsistent, Daniels has not looked good his last two outings.The rest of the staff are fill-ins that pitch when they are way behind. The hitters are putting too much pressure on themselves in clutch situations. I believe that Curtis and Schultz should pay at 2nd and short the rest of the year. I have no idea why Shelby didn't play today.
This is so depressing, b/c i LOVED Ming's energy and winning the regional in his first year really had the fanbase in a total frenzy. Last year was a disgrace not making the tournament with that much talent and now that he has had opportunity to recruit his own roster, we have a bona fide disaster on our hands.

One of the best times I've ever had at a UK sporting event . Live in Louisville and my buddy and i went to every game of that regional round. Thought we had struck gold , but sadly I'm thinking now it was fools gold. The shine is gone.
Totally agree. I went to every game that weekend except for the last one (sadly, I had to go out of town on business for that monday game so I watched it on TV). I've been to bowl games, final fours, big home football (LSU, UL Stevie got loose, etc), big home basketball games (UT this year, Kansas, UNC), and I'd say winning that regional was top 5 sporting event I've EVER experienced. Thought it was the start of something, but now I'm not so sure.

Ming caught lightening in a bottle his first year. He has proven to be a terrible coach and this team is an embarrassment. It was a joke he couldn’t make the tournament last year. But Mitch wont do anything because Ming is a nice guy.
He will get at least 5 years. If things are still in the same shape I think a change will be made.

Time to pull the plug on this guy. We've gone from being competitive with virtually anyone to competitive with pretty much no one. I'd like to get back to the good vibes we experienced during the Cohen years. Those were fun times. Hell, even Henderson seems like a hall of famer compared to Mingione.
