watching a replay of Texas game against Incarnate Word (??). If I'm Collins I pack it in and dare then to shoot from the outside. Also, Texas transition defense is not good.
Did Texas play pressure defense? How do you think NU will do offensively against their D?
THIS is exactly the question. We have to be able to handle a press, or at least not completely implode when teams turn up the pressure. A big key for me is Brown, and his ability to be another effective ball handler.
Texas was missing some players who were suspended and they will likely be back before our game with them so take their performance with a grain of salt.
Texas did not press at all that I saw (I watched most of second half). They had a couple of big guys that got into foul trouble (1 guy fouled out). Also, the big guys were terrible free throw shooters.
I didn't know about the suspended players so that changes things. The team that I watched was not very good
KenPom has Texas at #53 right now and us at #62. Hard to believe that a Smart coached team isn't pressuring...but if the shoe doesn't fit, take it off. We could get it done if our bigs are aggressive.
Oh, Butler is #20 in the same power ranking. First things first....THAT would be a great win.
