*What an appropriate football game for homecoming. If you've spent any time at all at UK, you're used to sorry football. Well....welcome home alumni! Nothing says welcome to Lexington in October more than horse racing and poor football!

*Happy for Coach Stoops and the team! The game was uglier than a Trump audio or Hillary's daughter, but the Cats will head into their bye week with bowl hopes alive and well.

*Hats off to the "worst defense in the history of college football." In their last 30 or so possessions, UK's defense has only allowed FOUR touchdowns. Hell, the offense has allowed two in that same time span. Today, they pretty much dominated a poor Vandy offense.

*Hats off to Stephen Johnson. Vandy's secondary is a pretty good bunch at tackling. It's tough to tackle with broken hands though, and Johnson hit every damn one of them square in the hands at least twice each! Way to sprain some fingers and bend back some wrists Mr. Johnson!

*Give me Snell over every other back on the team. No, he isn't as gifted as Boom. I just trust him more for some reason.

*Kind of funny...think of the time that goes into building an offense. Thousands of reps. Thousands of balls thrown by UK QB's. Thousands of balls caught by UK's WR's. Blocking schemes. Terminology. Hundreds of thousands of dollars collectively paid to our offensive brain-trust. And halfway through the season, our best play is the same one you probably ran in junior high...a direct snap to a good athlete.

*The thing that really pisses me off about today...the final score. ALL WEEK, I was gonna go with 20-13. So today, I went with 23-13. Damn!!!!!! Why I thought UK would score five times is beyond me. I blame the Woodford Reserve!

Should have been 27-6 with a fumble recovery at the 5 (should have walked in the end zone) and minus the Boom turnover.

It just wouldnt be right if Kentucky and Vanderbilt looked competent when playing each other. It's an SEC tradition akin to rolling Toomer's or Rocky Top.

Penalties and turnovers kept it close. This team appears to be very undisciplined and poorly coached at times. Need to review the fundamentals about tackling, falling on loose balls, etc..too many basic errors

D looks good for now. I'm curious to see what they do against better offenses later in the season though.

I'm sure that as soon as we start to have a good offense our defense will forget how to tackle again. We just can never get both on the same page at the same time.
