So what did everyone think about the first episode Tuesday night? Or did you miss it like I almost did? I thought it was exciting, lots of different things happening. Looks like a great season ahead, one of my favorite shows.

Think Oleg will be investigating his father for fraud before long

Anybody else watching this season? Has been a bit disjointed, but seems like Oleg is slowly but surely sinking into hot water . . . while Elizabeth and Phillip are trying to cut and run back to Russia (but without their kids?)

I'm watching but have to admit it's mostly lost my interest. At this point the things I enjoy most are the intro, the sets (they do a good job recreating that era), and the authentic Russian dialogue. I frankly don't give a damn about any of the characters or what happens to them. Not that much ever happens. Gotta admit, for a brief second when Paige was hoisting the sack of clothing up in the garage, I perked up. I thought she was testing her rigging to hang herself, which would have played in perfect contrast to her parents becoming alarmed at the other Russian family and Pasha killing himself. Alas, it did not play out that way.

At this point I mainly watch for the reveal to that stupid sonofabitch Stan that his neighbors are Russian spies, hopefully shortly followed by him being slowly choked to death by Philip.

I think it's about time to wrap up the show. One more season with a couple resolutions and some long overdue tension coming to a boil is much needed.

From what I have read, next season will be the last season.

I think that Oleg will eventually defect. He's still pissed that they killed Mina. As his father pointed out, his investigations into corruption will go nowhere since too many higher ups are involved. The treatment his mother received in the camps has also disillusioned him. And finally, he is under suspicion by the KGB.

I honestly think Philip and Elizabeth will be caught by the FBI. Over the course of this series they have been killing a lot of people. I have a gut feeling they aren't going to get away with it.

Finally, this is a TV series so who really knows what the writers will do. Nothing would surprise me.

I thought the same thing.

Did we just get our first clue that Stan Beeman's girlfriend is a KGB agent?

Exactly what I was thinking.

Also...

I think Oleg gets killed trying to defect.

After the big reveal Stan winds up letting Phillip & Elizabeth go free. He has gone soft. Stan might even wind up as a used car salesman by the end of the show.

Elizabeth & Paige go back to Mother Russia.

Phillip stays in the good ol USA.

The boy...well, the boy is a wildcard. He either stays in US with dad or he winds up dead by crossfire or something similar. 50/50 on that one.

How I hope the show wraps up:

Stupid Stan is staring at his girlfriend with that stupid closed mouth half grin he always has. She decides she can't fake loving this loser anymore and pulls out a gun, mumbling some Russian to him.

She squeezes off a shot but Stan reacts just in time and bolts out the door to his presumed bestie's house. He nearly knocks down the door trying to get in but Phil lets him in, feigning concern. Stan, out of breath: "she.... spy... Russian... I'm so stupid!" Meanwhile she shows up at the door and politely knocks. Stan panicks and yells at Philip not to answer, but he coldly does. She begins softly speaking Russian to him, basically explaining she knows who they are and that he can't let Stan tell the authorities. Slowly, he turns around pulls a gun out of his coat, aiming it at Stan. Stupid Stan tries to talk but ultimately just stares and does nothing, while his even stupider son Matthew stumbles down the stairs from Paige's room where he was trying to reconcile with Paige, who was having none of it. Philip closes his eyes and puts a shot right between Stan's eyes. Matthew doesn't change his stupid facial expression, but chokes on a graham cracker he was eating because he forgot how to swallow, and dies on top of Stan.

Paige is considering why she was ever involved with that loser Matthew and is thus oblivious to everything happening downstairs... but hears a rhythmic *thump thump thump* coming from her closet. She flings open the door and SURPRISE it's weirdo loser Pastor Tim masturbating furiously to the combined sight of Paige and the scent of Paige's clothes. Paige loses it and literally beats the **** out him (yes, he ***** himself while she beats him). Her parents hear the commotion and rush upstairs just as Tim is trying to take his last breath... but they go Pulp Fiction on pastor Tim and ensure that it really was his last breath.

Stan's woman has fled, and Philip and Elizabeth yell at Paige that she needs to grab her emergency bag and run to the car in the garage. They rush to the safe house where they are given documents and their new identities and are whisked to a private plane headed to Russia. The camera returns to the Jennings' home where Henry is still playing computer games, like he was before the whole incident started, having never looked up. Cmon, he wasn't boarding school material. His best friend was a loser adult FBI agent. Anyway screw Henry bc nobody cares. The Jennings step off the plane in Russia where they are greeted by Martha. Phil f***s her right there on the tarmac in front of his family, and as he finishes, he turns to Paige and says "Welcome to Russia, *****." End scene/show.

How about this? Philip decides to confess everything to Stan. For the final scene, he meets Stan at a boat dock. Before they say anything, cut to black.
