In.

Baseball is hilarious with its pretentious vibe of being some kind of gentleman's game. Dude was one of the best hitters to ever pick up a bat. You think the NBA Hall is gonna not take Jordan because he was a gambler?

As a huge cardinal fan and former baseball player, I say put him in. Nothing he did warrants blasphemy.

I'd also put steroid users in, but they need a special wing in Cooperstown for them. McGuire and Sosa helped save the game in the mid 90's. MLB used their accomplishments and ignored the use. They deserve to be recognized.

That Ted Bundy got the death penalty because he did things that it was clearly stated that you get the death penalty for and once you get the penalty there is no coming back. It's clearly stated in baseball rules (and posted in all clubhouses) that if you bet on baseball you are out of baseball forever. Pete Rose bet on baseball and got caught which means he is out of baseball forever. And yes, betting on the game is far and away the worse sin you can make, far worse than any PED use.
Wrong.

I'm a believer of what you do on the field that counts, unless you cheated with PEDS or some other performance enhancing drug.

Pete bet on his team...shouldn't be enough to keep him out of the HOF.

We know he broke the cardinal rule of baseball. IMHO he should be in the hall BUT not allowed any job, etc with a professional club. JMHO

Lied way too many times about THE baseball cardinal sin. I say no way. If ones so great follow the rules. Dude had/has serious issues. He deserves what he hasn't gotten

Out because of how angry most of the "in" people are about the whole thing and because he's been a giant scumbag loser about the entire thing while continuing to lie.

Also, 100% in for the steroid guys. It's not like anyone at the Hall of Fame won't know the story of McGwire, Sosa, Bonds and company. Let them in and let history provide the context.

Differentiate it like the live ball era if it makes people feel better. It was so pervasive that it's impossible to just use caught/not caught as the clean/dirty standard. Otherwise you're going to have an entire generation missing.
