Is we get to watch the boys one more time this weekend. I find huge importance to that b/c of getting guys going now that Z is back. We have had some frustrating stretches with a few guys, IE Cam, White, Jav etc, but some really amazing moments out of guys like Goldwire. If we can get positive production 1-7 or 8 and more consistency out of Cam, we are going to be a handful (duh) down the stretch.

I do have a question and not a troll question, but do you think Goldwire starts over Cam or no? I think the leash is a little shorter for Cam or at least it felt that way last night.

I'd bench Cam for Goldwire, could light a fire under his *** and give us much needed scoring off the pine.

I think that's touchy and is a player by player situation. For some, it may light a fire, and for others, it may kill any confidence and drive that they have. The one thing I wish Cam would stop doing is coming in balls to the wall and just bowling people over

Honestly, I am surprised at his lack of awareness when he is in attack mode. He is capable of taking a game over and he has been huge for us at times. If he can get to a consistent energy level, man we are going to be tough! We need someone to hit some daggers...I want it to be him!

I still love Cam. He’s won games for us this year at FSU and UL. I share in the frustration of his offensive fouls. My theory is the coaching staff is encouraging him to drive which is an area of improvement for him to be successful at this level and in the NBA. I think he’s still learning and it’s work in progress. It sure would be nice to see a 10 foot pull up jumper or a floater one of these days.

He’s a very good defender and mark my word he’s not done winning games for us.

Go get em Cam!

Tough call on Cam - I think he'll start. I think it puts too much pressure on Goldwire and could cause Cam to sulk. He doesn't have that Laettner, Hurley - "you're going to bench me?! I am going to prove you dumb for doing that!" - attitude.

Two issues come to mind, one overall and the other directly related to Reddish:

1) Duke is not moving and passing enough on offense. Barrett (7) and Jones (4) had 11 combined but that's largely b/c of passing the ball to Zion. But, too many one on one drives are killing the offense and creating explosive fast break points for the opponent. And I think that makes for tougher 3s that we force.

2) Defense overall really picked up in the 2nd half. I really wish K would impress on Reddish that defense is where it's at. If he works his butt off on defense he will help generate steals, missed shots, and fast break points, of which he will be an integral part. But, if he's lazy on D and in rebounding, then we wind up with more half-court offense and when he gets it he tries too hard to do too much; and if he lets his bad offense impact his play on defense, then Duke struggles.

JGold is an important player, but he has nowhere near the upside of Cam. K knows that.

I don't think this is the time to experiment with that. If this was a regular season game, maybe. Cam is overdue for a big game, and I think Jordan will be much more relaxed coming off the bench. He does not need the added pressure, especially since he is doing so well.
We are all waiting for Cam to feel the switch come on, and this would be a great game for that to happen! Zion must have help in this game.
Go Duke!

Cam should start. Goldwire may get some good minutes again. He brings toughness. Quite possible we see a fair amount of Vrank tonight as well. Be real surprised if Alex plays much.
A lot of size we are trying to match up with.
