Good but not Dark Knight good was my thought as well. I thought the Riddler was the weak link; everyone else was great. At one point at the end he's trying to out crazy Ledger's Joker, and you're never going to top that. Certainly better than the last few Affleck films. A lot going on, I want to see it again.

I took that scene differently, I thought it showed they’re 2 different types of crazy.

The Riddler thought he was doing good by eliminating corruption, the Joker just likes to manipulate, he has no rhyme or reason. He sees the riddlers weakness and immediately manipulated him.

My daughter and her boyfriend watched it this weekend and she said it was really good. Funny thing is she doesn't even like superhero movies and normally wouldn't sit through a 3 hour movie. She even said she would like to go back and watch it again.

Thought it was really good. I think this is the best Gotham we have seen, set pieces were awesome.

I think the last act was a little drawn out and struggled to find the best way to end it, but I am nitpicking. Great flick.

I'll have to let The Batman sink in for a few weeks and then see it a few more times before forming a definitive conclusion, but my initial reaction is that I loved it. :)

The Batman's landing on HBO Max on April 15th, just a little over a month after its theatrical release.

Also, Matt Reeves said on a podcast a few days ago that HBO's GCPD show has been axed and that it's being replaced by an Arkham show. That's awesome. :)

The Batman is leading the weekend box office for a second straight week. It made 18 million on Friday, and it's done well overseas.

I was blown away by some things and wanted to get your alls thoughts, can you believe that:

That Bruce Wayan was actually afraid of bats and the death of his parents motives him to become Batman?! Did NOT see that coming

Selena Kyle is cat woman? Like, what???

Batman doesn’t kill the bad guys, he just gets them put away, and at the end after defeating them, it seemed like there are actually more bad guys?!? HUH?? Who else can they possibly drum up to be a bad guy, are they hinting there might be more than one Batman movie in this series?! How can that even be possible????

Thought it was good but WAY too long. New Batmobile was MVP imo.
I feel like Hollywood hasn't figured out how to deal with time formats on movies in the wake of tv shows that are basically multiple one hour movies strung together over a season.

Most modern blockbusters go on at least half an hour too long but I suppose it is hard to cut a movie that is an hour and 45 minutes long when some episodes of Game Of Thrones approached that.

Saw it in the RPX theater and the batmobile scene shook the seats. Was pretty awesome.

With that said, was very surprised with Eddy Cullen. Thought he did a damn good job. Movie was a little long for me, but not bad. Probably a little too much detective and not enough action, but I definitely give it a thumbs up. Won't go watch it again though.

And don't wait the entire credits for an extra scene. Not worth it at all.

Guess there is something wrong with me. I really didn’t like it. Had some cool effects and action scenes, but wasn’t…Batman. That was more like a police detective in a bat suit. Nothing mysterious about him at all. Plus they couldn’t help themselves with the woke BS.

Also, how does a bomb detonate right in his face and none of his exposed chin is damaged? Just not realistic, even for a superhero movie. Also couldn’t get past the scrawny Bruce Wayne being a bulked up beast when the bat suit is on. Blah…

I mean, Batman debuted in “Detective Comics” and is literally referred to as “the world’s greatest detective.” That has been a pretty consistent aspect of the character.

Well I’m not a Batman expert, but having someone wear a wire, contacts which transmit video, etc. Thats more James Bond than what I would think of Batman. No mystery at all which is a hallmark for the character.
