Or another way to say the same thing. A new coach who is successful will get some of that back. Cut your losses is an expression that comes to mind.
We're so awful right now that if we took a knee every possession and just ran clock ......... that would be improvement.
I'm burnt out when it comes to Kentucky football. Two games in and I want it to end. That's a f-cking shame. As long as the sheep keep going to games and keep the money flowing things will stay the same.

I think they should just video game it...run everyone deep everytime and see what happens. Opponents defenses are already catching more passes than the offense anyway.
Making $10,000 a day. Dude is living the dream. St. Mitch is making about 3 stacks a day and DJ Eliot makes a cool $600,000 a year (and just received a $75,000 raise and extension this time a year ago, for what I'm not sure). Whoever is negotiating these contacts with St. Mitch needs to get a nice big time raise. My goodness, they're taking St. Mitch to business school with these crazy contracts. Every time Mitch sits in one of these contract negotiation meetings I'm not sure how these coach's agents can keep a straight face. I mean they're absolutely giving him the business with these crazy contracts, it's gotten to the point where you can't even make fun of it anymore because it's so pathetic and ridiculous. He's like the trust fund baby that just got his hands on daddy's gold card. I've never seen anything like it. He honestly has to be the worst businessman in the history of business. The only thing he knows how to do is charge $8 for a Commonwealth Stadium hot chocolate and funnel the millions in football revenues into the new rifle complex.

But it could. Yet instead of hoping for that, we hope to be awful just so we can fire someone. Sometimes, most of the time actually, I think most on here want the team to do bad so they can bash and talk about hiring a new coach.
How many years has UK won 6 games since you became a fan? And what year did you start following UK football?
The best thing for the program would be for us to get murked this week. Lose by 2 scores. Facilities are here, players are here, coaching is missing. Get new coaches in ASAP and they can hit the ground running with a talented but horrifically under coached team and be in a bowl next year. Wait around for 10 lame duck games ,2 or 3 lame duck seasons, and the list of coaches who would want the job shrinks, the roster turns back into MAC talent, and nationally facilities catch up to ours.
How ever long we stick with Stoops, its throwing good money after bad and making the hole much deeper for the next guy.

The best case scenario would be for Coach Stoops to right the ship, get it turned around and start being competive. Players gel together, players make plays when they are in the position to make those, coaches put us in more positions to make plays.
This whole best case scenario everyone is saying of losing out, firing him, blah blah blah only starts the process over. say we hire a named coach (Bill curry ring a bell to anyone) and things don't improve. Now when we replace him in four years, our facilities are older, a coach who had won elsewhere couldn't win here, and other up and coming/big time coaches ain't gonna touch us with a ten foot pole. So what did that improve the football program. Or heaven forbid, we make a coaching change, throw money at every name on the list and no one takes it. Then we are back to hiring a no name coach, egg on our face for not being able to find a big time coach with mega money.
Look I'm upset with the state of the football program the last nine games, but I want whoever our coach is to become successful. Whether that be coach stoops this year, nick Saban next year, Or Joe Blow in Five years. I'm a Kentucky fan, as long as those jerseys say Kentucky, I am behind them 110%!

Give the man to the end of the season and if he can't manage at least a 6-6 season, then give him the heave-ho. He's had 4 years to right the ship which is plenty of time. He has gotten full support from the UK athletics department. He's gotten a new field, stadium upgrades, and a new state-of-the-art training facility and he has gotten full support from the UK fan-base despite two consecutive late season collapses. He's had enough time to right this ship - period. It shouldn't take any coach worth his salary more than 4 years to begin to see drastic improvements in the program. He has the talent, the facilities, and the staff to compete at the highest level, yet his teams continually fall flat and are mismanaged. I was a huge Stoops supporter, but no more. Not after the last two Saturday's - there's no excuse for the last 6 quarters of football from this team. None at all.
Better to get the money together and if he can't will this team to 6-6 and a bowl, then it's time to move on. The amount of money this program would lose if Stoops were retained for this season and next, not to mention the damage it would do from a casual fan standpoint, would be staggering and would far outweigh the $18 million the school would have to cough up in buyouts.
