Really looking forward to seeing this movie. A very interesting book about the very small number of investment folks who figured out the mortgage bonds/insurance fiasco of 2008 was a house of cards that would collapse and how they shorted the market to make literally hundreds of millions of dollars. The movie has gotten stellar reviews thus far.

What was most interesting about the book was I read it shortly after I'd read 'When Genius Failed' about Long Term Capital Management's implosion in 1998 due to overleverage and how it's collapse almost caused a worldwide collapse, also. Incredible that supposedly knowledgeable people in the high finance field would repeat the same mistakes only 10 years later. Greed is NOT good when mixed with stupidity, evidently.

Anyone else looking forward to seeing this movie? Has Steve Carrell, Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, etc.

Yes, this and concussion will be must see.

I played high school football. I never had a concussion as far as I know, but I ended up with a screwed up knee and ankle that I have dealt with over a lifetime. If I had a son I wouldn't allow him to play football.

Yea well I have maybe the most aggressive 4 year old I've ever met so football may be in his future. He needs someone to knock the hell out of him, and his older brother used to until he got smacked in the head with a ceramic plate.

I guess I could just have him run marathons! Seems to have worked out for you, Yep! Clearly that will help discipline his aggressive nature.
