Not just that. We have well-known posters on this site talking crap about the coach’s religion. I understand people get mad if someone is being “preachy” but fan behavior does matter if we are gonna sell this program to coaches and/or players. That’s all I’m about. What helps UK MBB reach the pinnacle? I’m not God. I’m just a fan who voices their opinion and yes, we gotta keep a wide view on this stuff.
Define "talking crap"

I think that the bulk of those boos were aimed at the coach. Also noticed Gonzaga talking **** to our fans as well.

It must be a generational thing. You don't boo the Wildcats EVER. One of the things that used to make UK fans special is we didn't do crap like that. The 25-45 crowd seem to have a different view just my opinion but eff em
I am older than the demo you mention. I think booing a paid-for product is more acceptable in the NIL era. These fans paid money on travel, lodging, tickets, etc. to watch KENTUCKY play. What they saw was decidedly not Kentucky basketball. If these were just college athletes playing only for the name on the front of jersey, you hold your boos. Paid pros, well...

The issue is that clip will be used against us in recruiting. Stuff like that and people calling the players racial slurs. One is worse than other obviously, but we gotta market our program to another coach if we move on from Pope. We gotta be mindful I think.
Nothing will hurt our recruiting more than the product on the court.

I’m thinking bigger picture than just the Pope era. We may be looking for a coach within the next 500 days and I want the best opportunity to be in the best light. I’m not gonna argue if you think ESPN highlighting our shower of boos helps.

I think Kentucky fans are well documented for their passion. This passion produces exhilarating highs when we are winning. When we are losing (frequently or consistently) "For Sale" signs are put in your yard and fans boo you. Fans booing Billy G. didn't keep Cal from coming to UK and signing the likes of Wall and Cousins, and I don't think boos at a December game are going to affect the next iteration of Kentucky basketball.

Man, I’d totally agree if we were back in the day when the kids took pride wearing the Kentucky jersey but it’s not hard to see by their body language most of them couldn’t care less. I have no problem getting blown out if we’re hustling and playing hard, bad nights happen but these guys are out their just going through the motions and most are tired of it. Bragging about never booing doesn’t make you a superfan brother.

The coaches and players are paid to do a job… Do your job or be fired. Same as the rest of us.

I didn't know that stating I don't boo my team ever, was bragging

That’s actually wild and you know what? I don’t blame the fans at all. The team isn’t competing, 0 care. Why are we 3-20 on threes? Why is our 4/5 shooting threes when they can’t make them? Why not try something different. Zero adjustment.

No more excuse “they are just kids.” These guys are paid millionaires. Better perform or get ready for the heat.
It’s damn embarrassing for any of our fans to boo our team. We aren’t at the best but we certainly aren’t at our worst. For reference, we were ranked prior to this game.

Simple question ate the y the University of Kentucky or not. If not then what's the point anyway.

Unfortunately the boos that can't be hidden from the cameras is the only voice of the fans that Mitch can't ignore. He is so stubborn and clueless that embarassing public revolt is the only way that our displeasure may even cross his mind.
