A person at Rice told me they literally had two options for this game and one was well out of state. I have been critical of Rice scheduling too many tough games in the past but this seems the norm now to put one or two of these on your docket to help get to 5 wins.

Perspectives would have a been a good week one game for them similar to what MC and Marist did, sort of like a scrimmage. Although surviving week one, then this one, it gets hairy.

The crossovers of Providence, Laurence and JCA aren't gimmes and the other one is CoM which I know nothing about.

Marist/LZ will be a lot closer then people think. Marist played Dunbar.....this will be a good test to how good they really are. I thought Sanborn was one of the best LBs I saw last year when he was a Sophomore, that 24-6 score really surprised me. Marist wins but it’s gonna be a game.

Agree with this. Marist doesn’t seem to have the same offensive fire power as the last few years and look smaller on D this year. I was surprised by the LZ loss but expect this to be a close game.
