BLUE-WHITE:

Brother Rice over Joliet Catholic: JCA is getting better, they are just playing Rice too early for them to really challenge them Rice 34 JCA 20

Marist over Fenwick: Marist won't give Fenwick any hope. Marist 42 Fenwick 14

Mount Carmel over Marmion: Marmion off to a very nice 4-0 start. Both schools should use this as a "bye" and get kids who don't see much field a fair amount of playing time. MC 49 MA 7

Loyola over Saint Ignatius: This will not be a repeat of last year. Running clock. LA 63 SI 14

GREEN-PURPLE:

Saint Rita over Marian Central Catholic: Every opportunity for the Ponies to win, they must take full advantage as this season is now quite perilous the rest of the way. SR 41 Marian of the Sticks 10

Montini over Saint Viator: Montini doesn't break a sweet. Montini 41 Viator 13

Providence over Carmel: 15 years ago, this would have been game of the season material. Provi crushes a deflated CoM. PC 45 CoM 20

Notre Dame over Saint Pat's: One of the state's best rivalries in every sport besides football. A "bye" week for ND and both schools have more important contests the rest of the way to determine postseason plans. ND 49 SP 20

ORANGE-RED:

St. Laurence over DePaul: Running clock. Larry's 55 Gordon Tech 12

De La Salle over St. Joe's: DLS working to get a strong Prep Bowl seed. DLS 35 Joe's 3

Nazareth over Leo: A game that is not good for either program. Running clock. Naz 63 Leo 0

Benet over Marian Catholic: Marian of the heights march for 5 wins is alive and well, but win number 4 doesn't happen here. Running clock. Benet 49 Marian of the Heights 6

When I saw Leo on Naz schedule I thought was a typo . Not good for either program is an understatement .

I like what you're thinking but I think Rice by 7-14 is about right.

I will be praying you are correct though. That would definitely take some earlier development by the young Hilltoppers.

I like the wishful thinking! I only see this happening if the Marist match-up the week before causes a let down game. It's always trouble for teams to put in as much effort the week after a big game, especially when it's a team that you're favored against.

Marist had 30 carries for 80 yards behind a strong O-line anchored by a D1 recruit, without the best DT in the state lined up across from them. I don't see the Hilltoppers pounding the rock successfully in this one. Crusader offense does enough to get the W.

JCA has a better run game then Marist and a different offense then BR had seen but that being said I agree, Rice wins this big unless they shoot themselves in the foot. I don’t think JC secondary can keep up with Rices passing game for 4 quarters. 28-14. One factor though is the weather if it’s supposed to be bad could help JCA if they don’t cough it up

Yes MC is a huge favorite over Marmion as they should be but with the heavy rain forecasted and Marmion playing on grass, this could effect the score. Old school mud game many of these youngsters aren’t used too! MC 21-7 with rain, 42-14 without.

Just heard that a couple alumni of Loyola and St. Ignatius have paid for a dome to be installed at SICP for Friday night's game.

M -17 (F has a tendency to give up scores late)
MA +21 (grass might be hip-high by now)
