Would LOVE to see Leo beat Friar and Hope over Iggy.
Wouldn't that be amazing?
Hopefully Larry run up the score on Cadet.

SI over Hope: Iggy's wins a short, tight game

Fenton over DP: I really do not know much about Fenton, but they have a win and DP doesn't have a point.

Leo over Fenwick: Fenwick has some real bad juju going this year

Montini over Joe's: Unfortunate that these two teams will be sharing a field

Laurence over Marmion: Larry rolls

MC over DLS:
The Caravan are back and this game has been circled on every schedule at 6410 Dante Ave. Going to be a horrible experience for DLS

LA over BR: Rice is very good. Loyola is just a bit better if all things are equal. Rice can win with a few good breaks, but I am going with the Ramblers

PC over Rita: Rita needed a full effort to get a win over a respectable DLS squad last week. Provi will be too much for the Mustangs

Sorry fat fingers wanted to ask why you think Larry rolls. Cadets typically try and shorten games by controlling the ball. They are a tough group of kids with a few good young players.

Marmion and SL is a pick em game to me.

Montini wins easy. You heard it here first that Montini will go 7-2. They will beat St. Joe, Rita then beat Fenwick and Providence.

I look forward to the future combination of our weekly threads.
I hope you and @ignazio were at least informed and invited by the administrators to the merger negotiations. This merger may not happen if you two can’t get along. I see you have made the first move and offered iggy an olive branch.

It is extremely telling to me and the committee that iggy has not responded in kind to your gentlemanly gesture.

That’s it, the merger is off. I blame all of you

Find it hard to believe Ignatius will be giving up 26 points against Hope when they have given up 0 in there first three games.

Stonelizard, love the clever photos. No clue on the PC/SR one!

Here are picks for Week 4

PC over SR - will be a great game. If SR can stop Provi running game then they should win. PC D still waiting for first real test. Thought StL would have provided that test but no.

Montini over SJ - Montini definitely going for 5 wins with their early schedule against no one. Hope they are ready for the Blue!

LA over BR - angry team in Wilmette will not lose 2 in a row. Get a chance to see how BR does in their 2nd real test. Won the first one.

SI over Hope - coin toss on this game

StL over Marmion - Vikings running game is difference in this one

Fenwick over Leo - pretty sad for Friars to even say this game is a coin toss

Fenton over Ghosts of GT - really don’t care

MC over DLS - Caravan must avoid the big game win hangover!

There is a sunset date on the olive branch. If no agreement is reached, there will likely be two weekly threads: "Legacy ESCC Week X Predictions" and "Legacy CCL Week X Predictions". Let's hope negotiations are successful.

All:
Please understand our lack of public comment at this time in no way constitutes any insurmountable obstacles of our proposed unification.
On the table now are the naming of the championship-level division awards. Gillespie, Lenti, Senffner and Schachner have all been discussed.
We will be issuing a joint press release in due course.

As the public advocate of the private fan, I apologize for interfering with this delicate process. I recuse myself from the prognostications-side merger debate and allow the esteemed escc fan and sir ignazio to work out the details without my unfettered ramblings on the aforementioned subject matter.

I know that the GambleTron issues "neutral site" line, which are published here. Isn't the true line supposed to add 3 points to the visitor? Asking for a friend...

No StL/Cadet prediction?

I'll give you a prediction. Marmion loses and this loss will keep them out of the playoffs. Tomorrow night's game is an absolute MUST WIN for Cadet.
You heard it here first.

Marmion has won two games vs. teams that are a combined 0-6.
Then they got spanked by Bronco.
They will lose to Larry tomorrow.
They will for sure lose to MC and Rice.
They will lose a close one to DLS.
Cadet will beat Fenwick and St. Joes (two more teams with combined 0-6 records right now).
Marmion will finish the season 4-5 but have no quality wins - unless then can find a way to beat DLS. Even then, the 5-4 record won't yield enough playoff points to be playoff eligible.

What is going with Fenwick? 12 points in their last 4 games going back to their last game in 2017. 3 of those 4 at home. Two shutouts to Ignatius?

I've heard Fenwick's junior QB is something special, powerful arm, very mobile with good size... I hate to see someone with real talent struggle on a team that just doesn't have the tools to support him.

I’m always hearing about Ignatius in the paper. Saw their highlights on tv with the game of the week in week 1. The defense looks good. Haven’t gotten scored on. I’m calling shut out against This hope team. They could possibly be the dark horse in 6A
