Match starts at 285 which sucks

KRUETER 6 vs 1 Something not right with B1G Ben!!! Maybe hurt something upper body? Needs to get MuCH bigger and he would OWN the weight!!! I give the 8-3 for the effort to start match!!!

125 PETERSON 7 vs 9 1st warning on us was BULL!!!(as was seen in following matches) As was said before, would like him to get on his Offense earlier/ more often. Thought when he Grandbied to cradle it should have been TWOOOO. His scramble that lead to a TD was NICE!!! 96

133 AYALA 3 vs 6 As said above, if you are going to call the stalling in such a way???? Then BE CONSISTANT!!! AYALA pushed pace but nothing to show for it end 1 State down out quick, PATENED shrug leads to a1st TD and felt we were off to races!!! but it quickly went "south" as he was letting kid get in on leg TWOOOO easy???? I will say this again the Neutral Danger rule is just plain STUPID!!! 65

141 BAILEY 7 vs 6 STALL call on IOWA which I have NO problem with had warning been issued at 133!!!! Body lock to TD for bad guys, then RAGDOLLED for another. Had to try to get to his TOP game but could not. Just looks pretty bad!! 55

149 BLOCK 10 vs 2 zeros end 1st but BLOCK looked more aggressive. IOWA down start 2nd out quick. Here AGAIN no stall warnings against state?? They go down get out. OT , no score DOUBLE and BLOCK out again quick(why it is SOOOO important!!!) bad guys choose N and BOOM!!!! 100

157 WILLIAMS 12 vs 3 Shot quick in deep no finish, did it again and the same. Then let kid get in deep on straight shot??? nice counter to stay at zeros end 1. state down a lil attempt to ride not much, then gives up the cheap shEEEEt ankle pick TD!?!?!?! Kid is a leg rider and while I still do not think TnT got message to bring me in for a week to teach F-in counters!!!! He was doing OK getting out. Got in a tie up situation and I felt this might be a good spot for WILLIAMS but instead gets thrown on his ***!!!! Gave up a TD walking off mat that gave bonus!!! MY college coach would have made me walk home!!! 55

165CALIENDO 3 vs 22 Did what he/team needed. Seemed a little sluggish mid match???? But came back TWOOO life and got TECH 99

174 KENNEDY 2 vs 11, and they said something about last years match being 14-13 and I guess this is a BAD match up for KENNEDY for whatever stupid reason. Was doing ALL the work and giving more points then getting!!! He does manage to get stall call to send to OT. AGAIN, can someone teach him to SNAP-SPIN- SCORE - SHORT O ....!!!!! Go to double OT and F-in state does a BS brick move to give their guy a lunger!!! Have to make a challenge lost cost a point!!! 65

184 FERRARI 1 vs 10 DEEP shots getting stopped countered. Got into a MERCKLE situation and felt he could have put kid on his back but knew he would not because NOT his style and it IS somewhat of a problem. He is HARD to score on but also is not putting up good points early. Leaving TWOOO much to chance. Got a 2nd stall call and point to take a 2-1 lead. Had TWOO late TDs blown by POS ref!!! 80

197 ENDENE 4 vs 2 The height difference was a problem. Can't play the "steal the match" game against kids like this. Going to have to go out and let it FLY!!! see what happens??? 1st TD was TWOOO easy!!! Choosing N in 3rd was just plain STUPID!!! I get kid is a good rider. BUT, you are down by 4, AND showed he could get to feet. Was lacing leg and looked like/ did get- a stall call!!! Best chance was go down, and maybe get a stall call, get out and a TD!!! 75


MAT was a POS HS mat!!!
CROWD good and apparently in a snow storm!!!
BRANDS 1/2 time interview was GOOD STUFF!!
OTHER after match interviews can lick the gr8 krailures balls!!!

ESPN having it 100!!!

As much as I love Tom and Terry, the two of them better start looking at themselves and their expectations on team performance, there appears to be a real disconnect with culture of leaving all out on the mat! When I see Brent Metcalf, Michael Kemmerer on somebody else’s team I have to wonder when did being satisfied with our current wrestling culture. I’m afraid the big ten champion title and ncaa champion will be relegated to those who can believe in something greater than themselves. Coaching has a real part, we have talent just waiting for some inspiration!

Here's the non-trashy grades:🙂

125 - A (won a tight match against a guy who beat him last time they wrestled)

133 - D - (looks lost out there, no F because Frost is actually decent)

141 - F- (just awful - trying to be nice so that's it)

149 - A (Paniro is pretty good, and Block stood in there well and got his hand raised)

157 - Z (you quit and gave up a major in the process - C'mon man!)

165 - A+ (Caliendo doing Caliendo things)

174 - C (think P.K. was rightfully trying to get bonus and it ultimately cost him - I think he gave just about all he has)

184 - B (took some great shots and couldn't finish - credit to Dean for that, but shouldn't have been this close that late)

197 - B- (Elam is a stud, Big Mo wrestled hard, Elam's length got to him at the end of the day)

HWT. - D- (no F since he did keep working to avoid a major - Bastida is good, was hoping Ben could keep it close, but his offense isn't there for whatever the reason)

125- A got the win in a coin flip match. That is an A in my book.

133- F wasn't good enough and Drake would say the same. The Hawk's seniors have to come through for them in these tough duals, especially as favorites.

141- F I can't even think of anything positive from that effort. Very disappointing

149- A Any win over a #2 ranked guy in about Block's 10th collegiate match is an A from me

157 - F better effort than 141, but barely.

165- A great job MC

174- F See 133, absolutely needed a win here

184 - B did his job, but needs to open up more

197 - C Elam is probably a finalist, so it was a tall task for Mo

285 - D Cuban is good and BK is absolutely not 100%. Hope he isn't dealing with an all year nagging injury.

NOW- above you see another posters grades, you ALSO see tiltAman saying "much better" !?!?!?!? lets take a closer look!!!

133 65 he had D
141 55 - F
149 100 - A
157 55 he had a Z which I am guessing is an F???
165 99 - A+
174 65 - c
184 80 - B
197 75 - B
Heavy I gave the 8-3 which I try to give every match and he had a D

SOOOO we are ALMOST the same up and down the line up. 125, 133, 141, 149, 157, 165, 184 ALL the same grades!!! 174, and 197 He gave a little higher and I gave a little more at Heavy.

YOU-ALL tell me!??!?!!

Ive never seen the Hawk wrestling this flat 7 meets into the season, albeit ND early on brought in 4 of those. I got to believe TnT turns this around by Bigs duals in January.
125: Peterson not flashy but controlled wins. Just keep winning.
133: Drake flat all year so far. Slide bys far and few in between. He got to offense but didn't finish, unusual.
141: Really think he is 133 but there's Drake. Bulk up or drop down next year.
149: One of the positives. He is not backing down from anyone.
157: Big mistakes costing him. Needs to run Carver stairs.
165: Been flat but opened up against Clones. Looked really good like Mikey we know.
174: Hope it was an off night and gets back to the Rusty pickup.
184: See 125. He has had a brutal schedule and still undefeated.
197: Mo is going to be fun to watch. Elam too much last night, ISU got a good one there.
Hvy: My eyes tell me BK is not healthy, has struggled all year.

Peterson A+++. Poulin should have been hit for two stall calls. He stuck his foot out to touch the hardwood while he was locked in that cradle and another due to lack of activity in the 2nd and 3rd.

YES!!! and the ref was NOT consistent which is the problem!!!
