With respect to the transgendered issue, I suspect that men who look like women at first blush have been using the ladies room for a long time, and vice versa. I don't think we need specific laws either direction. People who are looking to assault people in public places won't be deterred by them anyway, and let's not act like men don't assault boys and women don't assault girls.
With respect to BLM, I think the root cause has value. Same as the Sierra Club or NRA, I think they take things a little too far. Not every unarmed black person who gets shot by a cop didn't pose a threat to the police or the public. To say that some people were shot without good justification, then the police protected their own from prosecution is absolutely true too. We are over 50 years removed from the civil rights legislation. This should not be happening in as unbalanced a way as it has been happening.
I don't think the US has reduced its ability to dictate terms to the world. Honestly, I think that is largely due to the US being the world's police.
