Even Seth is getting a.) Frustrated with Duke fans and b.) selling hope to these other teams. He knows what he’s doing. He’s doing his job I guess.

Greenberg is certainly frustrated, but he made a lot of his own bed. He’s definitely gotten better over the years, but he’s always struggled hiding his anti-Duke mindset. He paying a price now for his reputation that he’s created since leaving the bench. A lot of it is Duke fans being paranoid, but some of it is still truth.

Duke sells, and we’re the top program in all of basketball. That’s where the criticism comes to play. There’s no team out there that gets talked about in terms of “how to beat them” like Duke is. “Make them hit 3’s, they aren’t a good free throw shooting team, their half court offense isn’t their strong suit...”
We’ve won every way you can win. Great shooting, check. Hitting free throws, check. Playing a grind it out game, check.
It’s time some of these announcers man up and say “yeah that’s how you beat them, but that may be easier said than done.”

Media trolls don’t really bother me. It’s the same philosophy as when they tried to bury the Pats recently, calling them underdogs. It pisses off the fanbase and enables the haters.
Safe to say they didn’t have to twist Greenberg’s arm too hard for him to contribute. But again doesn’t bother me all that much. No one could ruin the enjoyment of watching this team, I’m soaking it all in.

I seriously can't remember the last time I watched a college basketball halftime show. Way too long, way too many commercials and I can't stand the combo of Williams and Greenberg.

I don't watch or listen to ANY "experts" talk about Duke. The only one who gets more frustrated than Greenberg is Jalen Rose. That scrub still HATES Duke.

Ok Ispy. Let's gave it another shat. My wife tals mi about my prof redding all the time. I will do better If I make some mistakes just please over look them.:D OFC
Much better lmao. I can comprehend that seriously better than some. I think you just get excited and forget to type your thoughts and skip over what your minds saying and continue on missing words and such. Grammar wasn’t the issue. It was that. You just forget to type what you’re thinking you type or something. Then I try to read it 20 times trying to figure out what you’re trying to say and filling in the blanks!! :) I think if you just slow down a little it would do wonders.

Ipsy explaining well-formed thoughts. @1156jack liking Greenberg. Duke not beating themselves yet (pause) much to the Yates’s dismay. What in the hell is happening to our board?!!!

Jesus, Q... you quote that post for grammar and the “to” is what draws your eye?:)

I won’t even get into the thread title...

I'd like to hear, actually? I usually take pride in my writing and not making many mistakes in grammar. I didn't used to be that way until I wrote sports articles for a living between 2007 and 2014; that changed everything.

FWIW, the difference between "affect" and "effect" is razor thin.

Simply put, affect means to impact on or influence. Effect means a result or outcome. For example, “I love coffee, the effect is amazing!”

The way I read it, either "affect" or "effect" could work for the thread title.he But I crave hearing peoples opinion on this so enlighten me....(also - I'm not the least bit offended by this so I hope it's not coming across like that, @TheDude1.

Oh no no, no problem:)

I was mostly referring to the post that Q quoted, which included this particular line:

"I don’t know if he’s tying too hard not to be a homer or he’s a trader!!!!"

I was shocked that wasn't the line he jumped on... Unless Jay took up a day job on Wall Street, I'm not sure this is accurate:)

As for the title, yeah, I believe "affect" is either a manner ("His feminine affect was a bit off-putting.") or, if you are looking to use it as in "the impact of something" I believe it is usually used as a verb... like "He will affect change by lowering the rent in his building." If you are using it as a noun (like "the beneficial effect of the pill is that it makes your penis hard") it is "effect"... I think if you are talking about "The Duke Effect" then it is a noun being modified by an adjective (Duke)...?

To be perfectly honest, beyond the VERY basics, my grammar leaves a *lot* to be desired... like, a TON... it could be that you are right... I am generally not great at enlightening anyone about grammar... to be truthful I was more looking for a laugh :)

Hey, where did you write?
