To say the least ,as a life long bleed Carolina Blue fan ,I was not thrilled to be playing at dook, but let me tell you we were treated like royalty from our wife's and kids to our Coaches and team members ,nothing but good things to say about their staff ,would love to go back and play there anytime. Go Heels

We enjoyed it too dogtuff. I am a Tarheel man also so I had my doubts about it. But I thought the smaller stadium was great for our game. The jumbotron was awesome and they did a really good job of showing the replays and the fans. Really great experience for the kids they had a blast. We would love to go back for sure. Heard them say the games are switching to the Charlotte area in 2019. We were wondering which stadiums they would use down there?

At this point that is not in the planning stages or even an option. Wish it were.
The commercial on the jumbotron was a man from the nchsaa and he was saying how he was looking forward to the games moving to the Charlotte area in 2019. Idk. But that's what it said. I guess I could be wrong. I have been before plenty of times. But that's what all the folks sitting around us thought it said also.

Think that was regarding the State Games....not sure though?

I second that. But as for the stadium Duke has put some money the last couple of years in to renovating their stadium and it shows. I went to a couple of games at all of the big three this year just for something to do on Saturdays and I honestly didn’t have a bad experience at any (other than Carolina consistently losing smh).

I heard some rumblings about this back in October. Idk if anyone I work with has connections at the NCHSAA. I’ll have to ask around at some point. Someone at the capital has to know someone there lol.

I assure you at this point there is no plan to play there in 2019. No one from Charlotte or the Panthers have approached the NCHSAA about it. They are open to offers.

Regional title games in basketball will almost 100% move farther west this season.

I guess the two optioins in Charlotte are UNC-Charlotte and Bank of America Stadium.

I sincerely hope that no one ever considers Memorial Stadium for a state championship event. It is a dump.

I had a great experience there was a nice place to watch our Dogs win another state championship. The only thing was not letting the parents out on the field after the game to celebrate with there kids! But all in all it was nice! Go Dogs let’s get ready to play for another one next year!

UNCC fits the seating perfect. Press box space is limited. Not sure how many dressing rooms. People do not understand that when there are only two dressing rooms the games need to be staggered out further. NC State has four which is great. Wake two which is the biggest negative.

They want to give the awards and trophies and move them along. Not such a big deal for the last game of the day but a huge issue with games to follow. This has always been in place at the title games played on the college campuses.

UNCC is a nice stadium. I went to a couple of games there when my daughter was in the marching band ,the only issue I had was parking , it made me realize why most college stadiums are off campus. But if they have had a game scheduled there this year it would have been like Wake Forest and moved it because that Saturday they had graduation.

I’m really hopeful that UNCC will host some early season games (much like what Memorial Stadium does). Way better environment. I’d honestly take the light rail to the stadium from one of the two parking decks located at the two stations south of campus. No muss. No fuss. No campus parking woes.
