Yet with President Obama reportedly calling to congratulate Putin, apparently the White House isn't too concerned with the fraudulent election--or even its worrisome outcome.

That was before Russia invaded Ukraine, became militarily involved in Syria, meddled in our 2016 presidential election, and used a chemical nerve agent in the UK.

Usually, such phone calls are an attempt to confront a foreign leader over such issues, as mentioned above, but Trump did not say one word about any of it.

They talked like beer-buddies, laughing as if all is right with the world.

Observed only today the esteemed D senator fro Virginia (Warner) was complaining that Trump wasn't reacting to Russias meddling in our elections, I guess he has the same dislike for Obama's failure to halt the meddling....

I wholeheartedly concede there is plenty of blame to go around. I did not vote for Clinton, but I didn’t like voting for Trump either.

Still, as the outgoing president, Obama was faced with a situation that was ongoing, happening in real time, and thus unclear. Obama underestimated the impact and depth of the meddling, and raising a red flag would have looked like conspiracy theory whining and bias for Clinton.

To his credit, Obama did immediately after the election expel 35 Russian diplomats in retaliation, but it was too little and too late. But, you can believe Obama was no fan of Putin in the months leading up to the election. I want to remind everyone of this chilling stare-down Obama gave Putin during the G20 Summit in Hangzhou, China, on 5 September 2016…

Obama failed us then and, with his inaction, I feel like Trump is failing us now. I am confident we will figure out what happened (Mueller) so we can clean up the mess and prevent it from happening again. We must go wherever that takes us no matter who was involved.

We are headed straight toward a very serious constitutional crisis. If Trump gets himself kicked out of office, as he seems bent on doing with his tweets, and then blames democrats or liberals we could have civil unrest the likes of which not seen in modern times. That possibility is very real and scary. Does the NRA ardently support assault rifles so fathers and sons can go hunting…

I appreciate your sentiment. :)

You're probably aware of the recent Monmouth University "Deep State" poll. Only five percent said it definitely "does not exist". That's alarming to me.

The poll points out about one-third of Republicans and Independents are likely to believe in its existence, while about one-fifth of Democrats said the deep state definitely exists.

When we are given poor choices at the polls, we stop believing in the legitimacy of our government. The political process feels broken, and that creates unrest.

Thinking it could not happen is like thinking Russia could not change or have an effect on the outcome of an election.

It alarms me as well. However, I have to wonder if the term “deep state” was clearly defined in the poll or was it left to each person’s own interpretation. Maybe I am being overly optimistic and looking through my rose colored glasses too much. The only way I see civil unrest occurring in this country is if a very high ranking public official is indicted on overwhelming evidence and for whatever reason is either not found guilty or a conviction is overturned or set aside. I realize our political climate is different now, but Ollie North lied and committed unthinkable illegal acts and got off. Several Bush administration people leaked the identity of a CIA agent and didn’t serve time. Petreaus did the same thing and got a slap on the wrist. Manafort and Flynn actually worked on behalf of another country and didn’t notify the US and idiots are defending their actions. Conspiracy Against the United States and it’s no big deal to a lot of people.

The NRA is protecting the 2nd amendment for the very reason it was intended, for the populace to remain a check and a balance against its government.

Just think for a minute how many times you've heard folks on the Left complaining about the 2nd ammenemdent or our right to be armed? Think they'd prefer to get rid of it?

I have told you time and time again to NOT post facts....it makes the libs go on another name calling spree, cause that is all they have to defend themselves against the truth....to quote the old song....."when will you ever learn?"

So what was the point country was making (or trying to make) by posting us to "think about" Trump calling Putin to congratulate him on being re-elected?

I know it was a stupid post, but what was the intended point?
