IT'S NOT SOME SORT OF OPTICAL ILLUSION/REFRACTED IMAGE/LOOMING/SUPERIOR MIRAGE.
Spoken like someone who doesn't know how light works. A weatherman in that video states that normally you can't see that from that far away and then explains why you were able to see it that day. This is more than likely what happened with your "proof". I just hammered your death nail in this thread. Please, have a little dignity to yourself and

Until you can explain the video of Rob Skiba traversing the entire width of the lake you guys have nothing.

I think Transy's cognitive dissonance is kicking into high gear, he'll be on board the FE train before to long.

Any flat earther who watches that first video in herodutos above post and still defies it... well, you have zero chance of changing. You are simply a conspiracy theorist who refuses to believe anything beyond your nutty thoughts

No, I've got posts explaining all of those things.

This man must be crazy.
It's really such a shame.
He believes the earth is truly flat
And provides sources for his claim.

Maybe this short video
Will enlighten him finally.
I must show him with evidence
That he's mistaken quite mightily.

I posted twenty videos
Has he watched them all yet?
Space pictures, calculations
Has he had time to vet?

I've put in more research
To debunk these false theories
Than Bushy Z did just to get familiar
With flat earther's beliefs and queries

I'll continue to fight daily
Until the battle is won.
I'll make him see he's stupid
I will not stop until it's done.

I know that someday
He'll tell me I'm right.
He'll thank me profusely
For showing him the light.

But after every rebuttal
Bushy laughs heartily and sips
From his tall glass of beer
And then rubs his nips.

Please tell me the last time someone jumped in the air and shoot eastward at 1000mph with no force acting on him besides the spin of the earth?? Because that's essentially what he's saying.

The "mistake" that he made is incredibly simple but it's so easy to overlook. When you fly east to west, you don't magically gain 900mph because the earth is spinning the opposite direction. . As you move further north or south, the rotational speed DECREASES. He mentioned that "Air at higher altitudes is spinning slower," which is also bs. Imagine a figure skater with their hands out. In one rotation, his hands travel a much longer distance than his nose, which means his hands must be moving faster. The "Velocities" given in the video are also bs. To simplify it down, When an airplane is on a runway facing east and ready to take off, it's "velocity" it's already 900mph in a western direction, which is where he messes up. He assumes the starting velocity is 0mph, which it is not. If he wants to add the speed of the earth rotating after the plane takes off, he's free to do so, but he must also add the velocity of the plane before it takes off.

I'll put everything into a simple equation.

-1000mph (Starting Speed accounting for earth rotating) + 600mph (Speed of Airplane once airborne) + 1000mph (Speed of earth "rotating" beneath him) = 600mph.

-900 + 600 + 900 = 600, not 1500 (or 00 like he said)

TLDR;

When he is trying to account for the speed of the earth rotating beneath the plane while in flight, he fails to mention the speed of the earth rotating before the plane took off. It's that simple

I'm pretty sure you are a GD troll.

GTFO our board and go troll the Hawkeyes.

Not a troll, and no I will not leave one because I don't have to and two, this is my home board. You found the curve yet?

P.S. the mental meltdown of herodotus6 while incidental to my purposes for this thread has been satisfying none the less.

Flattard. I think the guy who made those last videos I posted would fit in well on the Paddock. Of course I am sure our resident flattard, Bushy Beaver, didn't watch since he thinks I am melting down. Those four videos use simple math, logic, and the greatest tool of all, simple observation to obliterate flattards.

I found the curve over fifty years ago pal. Going by the evidence in this thread, I had a greater awareness of the Earth, our solar system, and the universe at age four than you possess today.

You had two choices to explain your position here, troll or idiot. You claim to not be a troll. I'm good with that.

So, who was controlling this conspiracy the 450ish years before NASA existed? Since, you know, common belief if a spherical Earth has been accepted for about 500 years.

Long time before that. The idea that everyone thought the world was flat when Columbus sailed is a myth.

I bet it was those damned, dirty Spaniards. I mean, the Spanish Armada would have been the only force big enough to keep others from exploring until Columbus decided to set sail from...nevermind.

No you didn't, NASA told you that they did and you believed them without investigation.
No, NASA didn't tell me. There was a globe at my grandmothers house that was older than NASA.

The fact that I don't have a spaceship that allows me to view the Earth from space does not constitute a "gotcha" moment on your behalf.

You're right, it's not a gotcha moment it's just proof that you rely on other people to tell you what is real about the "world" you live on.

And for all those "why would they lie" dummies, I can give you 19 billion reasons a year why they would lie.
