If Dana doesn't right the ship I have a real hard time believing there isn't a plan to replace him. The media close to the school are starting to let detractors slip in through the cracks. When the coach is firmly rooted they usually play down these guys or flat out don't let them speak. There is starting to be public agreement among the talking heads that if this season isn't up to par it may be over for Dana

Or maybe WVU will beat TCU and Texas Tech and win out the rest of the season. Of course no matter what happens some of you will continue your destroy the Mountaineers campaign.
Oh I would love that...there is no destroy the Mountaineers agenda here...I think they can do it...the talent is there....it is time to right the ship.

Well.....here is hoping the program turns things around in spite of Dana. TCU is a very beatable team, though it is getting much harder with the injuries starting to pile up

I gave the qualifier if he doesn't turn things around. What els is there to say. Now IN MY OPINION I can't see any team Dana leads winning 6 in a row in this conference. He barely did it in the Big East. People forget we've had this same type of swoon every season Dana has been head coach.

eers1foru - hits the nail on the head - indeed the late-season swoon has been with us every year of Dana's tenure. The team goes downhill at the end. Will this be different? Hope so, but history indicates otherwise and painfully questions his ability as a head coach. I'll be at every home game hoping and cheering. But the nagging feeling is that his hire was a bad one. I see any overall improvement in the program since he's been HC of the Mountaineers. We keep hearing that recruiting is better and depth has improved. Perhaps, but performance on the field has gone backwards IMHO.

One thing is absolutely certain .... if, in the eyes of some fans, we do not have a successful football season they will in fact manufacture a soap opera.

Winning/Successful Season or A Soap Opera: We will have one or the other.
Either way the masses find something to be entertained with.
See how this works? We. Will. Be. Entertained! Even if we do it ourselves.

A good source informed me that Dana is going to be our coach for at least the next 5 years. The 'out the door' money that it takes to get shut of Dana is difficult to secure at today's interest rates. Given that the next coach may lose just like Dana. Square Business!

No chance - Holgorsen is here to the end of his contract. Some WVU fans are always firing the coach ( goes back to the days of Bowden). 3-3 with 6 games to go.

If there ain't gonna be an extension....................somebody forget to tell Holgs. He spending money like it's going out of style. Maybe Holgs thinks winning is going out of style? He sure is entertaining. Ain't he?

Break out the broken record:
Losing to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor and TCU isn't a reason to fire a coach.
Losing to Texas Tech, Texas, Kansas, Iowa State and Kansas State would be, though.
We'll see.

M ighty defense throttled Georgia Southern, 44-0

O utstanding defense obliterated Liberty, 41-17

U nilaterally decimated Maryland, 45-6, on defense and offense

N oxious offense & special teams against Oklahoma, 44-24

T urnovers lose to Oklahoma State, 33-26 in OT despite impressive comeback from 15-point deficit.

A wesome Baylor too much, 62-38.

I nch by TCU

N ip Texas Tech

E scape Texas

E rectile dysfunction Kansas

R oll past Iowa State

S lip past Kansas State
