Excellent point, I heard. No one, not a one, on the left, is serious about fixing the problem of death by guns. If they were, they would be every bit as upset about the rest of the shootings that take place, which BY FAR outnumber the deaths by mass shootings. Less than 10% of ALL murders by firearms, are done by a rifle. Where's the outcry? Where are the suggestions of banning other types of guns? It's a leftwing power-grab. Today it's semi-automatic rifles. Tomorrow it's guns capable of shooting more than one round at a time.
