My go to guy (Diego) who does all the yard work that my wife used to nag me to do. He makes lazy weekends a reality.

This stuff is pretty amazing too. High end aged rum is very good and a lot cheaper than comparable bourbon.
Is it good straight? How sweet is it compared to Bourbon?

High end aged rums are very good straight and are slightly sweeter/smoother than bourbon IMO. They are aged in oak just like bourbon to add a complex finish. You can also swap them out in some bourbon classic mixed drinks like an Old Fashioned if you want to compare. You can buy some really top shelf 8-12 year old rum for $20. Here is one aficionado's list of the 100 best rums (ignore the spiced and white ones) and links to his review of each.

I may have to give it a shot. I'm a bit of a heretical Kentuckian in that I prefer scotch over bourbon due to the obscene amounts of sugar in it, but twenty bucks for decade-aged **** sounds pretty appealing.

At the $20 Price point, my favorites are Diplimatico Reserva (#36 on that list), Doorly's XO (#50) and Plantation Grand Reserve (#60 a little lighter style than the others but still very nice). All are worthy to drink straight but at $20 I am willing to mix them too. All of these are available at Total Wine & Whiskey at the lowest prices I can find in my area.

Toilet seat bidet. I bought one a few years ago after getting used to them on work trips to Japan. You can get them from a couple of hundo to 6 or 700.

You can get variable heated seat, variable heated water, variable pressure, self cleaning, etc, etc. Helps your septic tank cause you aren't flushing as much TP.

Other than the cleanliness and economical aspect of saving money on toilet paper, what if you just wanna get one because you enjoy the sensation of water getting spritzed on your sensitive *******?

Speaking of splurging.. I'm selling my ****** $199 Home Depot Grill, probably to some poor. Another thing you don't go cheap on: Grills. Looking forward to getting a nice Weber that will last me for years and actually have even cooking.
I'm a 'poor' and used a cheapo grill for far too many years. Finally splurged and bought a Weber and have grilled some incredible food! Wish I had bought it sooner! Also bought the Weber iGrill meat thermometer that has an app that gives you temp readings and notifications on your phone when the temp is close to target. Awesome setup if you're willing to pay the extra cash!

They're just so much better built. The house brands for Lowes/Home depot just feel crappy. I mean how can you make a quality grill for only $199?

Any job that allows you to work from home in some capacity. I just got one day a week, work from home and it's damn glorious. Save 1.5 hours of commute, save gas and mileage, be able to take care of laundry or cooking on breaks.

Not sure I can ever go back to a full 45-50 hours of being in an office

Interesting that my comment in May of 2018 was about affording movers. Moved May of 2019 and hired Wildcat Movers to move and let me just say, it is still one of the finer things. 2 boys worked their asses off for about 10 hours and made 2 trips from the old house to the new house. My back hurt just watching them lug those heavy *** dressers, queen mattresses and chests up to the second floor. I think we paid about $1000 but even if it had been $2000 it would have been worth it.
