Needs to run some half-court offense. A double screen for DJ & Kimble is your adjustment from the previous game? Are you serious? It’s not like we haven’t seen these guys earlier this season. Earn your money.

My comments have zero to do with the previous regime. It’s all about a concern that we made zero adjustments to answer their amped up half-court pressure. As I stated, where’s the game plan having already seen these guys before? If you’re ok with Kimble being our go-to in the half-court it’s going to be a short post season. You mean like the previous 7 million dollar man and his baggage?
I'll stick with the 4 million dollar man.
Coach did about all he could do with the players he has. Kimble did well against the pressure compared to everyone else, but he was getting beat like a drum on defense. Johnson was getting some tough calls which put him in foul trouble and limited his ability to be on the floor. McMahan plays his heart out but just like Kimble, he's too little and gets beat like a drum. Perry was playing like a wild man on acid. Some of the off the wall plays he was trying was head scratching. The cold hard truth is there was little that could be done. FSU is just better. No shame in admitting that.My comments have zero to do with the previous regime. It’s all about a concern that we made zero adjustments to answer their amped up half-court pressure. We don’t run anything in the half court. We dribble until 5-8 on the 30 second clock and then go. I guess we’re not watching the same game.Coach did about all he could do with the players he has. No I agree. We never ran any type of set plays last night in the second half. FSU had a lot to do with that. They brought it in the second half. We never did.We don’t run anything in the half court. We dribble until 5-8 on the 30 second clock and then go. I guess we’re not watching the same game.
So far Hamilton has Mack's number. But the same thing happens for other coaches as well- even great ones.
I remember John Thompson III and Georgetown got the better of Pitino back in the Big East even though Rick was the better coach. Styles, matchups, personnel, etc. all come into play. FSU's style and personnel are the Card's kryptonite in recent games.
I never assumed we would give up 82 points and win against FSU. I didn’t see our offense as the problem. Their pressure did have an effect but we also missed several wide open shots. It happens so I'm not too worried about it. The chances of meeting FSU in the ACC tourney are greater than meeting them in the NCAA tourney but we'll have to cross that bridge when we get to it. Hopefully Malik is back 100% and Enoch too as I now understand he was not 100% healthy either. We'll need both @ 100% if we have to play them again.
Well he’s not the only one.. NCST did exactly what we did. But I think they led by as much as 20. FSU disrupts offensive play, that’s what they do. Their deal is to prevent a team from getting into their O. They have big athletic guards. We were out marched period. And losing Williams didn’t help.Interesting tidbit I saw. Take it for what it’s worth. In his last 4 games against FSU going back to when he was at Xavier, Mack has had double digit leads in 2nd half only to lose.

Easy to say not easy to do against FSU. You can’t give up 82 points and expect to win. We lost because they played bully ball and our guards could not stop them from driving. We made shots in the first half and didn’t in the second. The offense has to match FSU's output. Its both.
Defense has to get stops.
Offense has to equal or increase the lead. Or if behind, catch up.

Just stop comparing Mack to you know who. I want to evaluate him on his own merits. Lately he’s had issues with blowing double digit leads against FSU. Is it just basketball or more to it like coaching philosophy? If it plays out we should play them again for ACC tournament championship. Some guys’ memories are about as long as their . . . . Oh never mind, this is a family site. Also, some also forget the total ineptitude that the former $7 million dollar man had versus calisleazy.

Comprehension my man. Nobody said he had never beaten FSU. I said in the last 3 losses to FSU, Mack’s team had double digit leads in the 2nd half only to lose. That included his last game at Xavier. However I don’t really care what Mack did at Xavier against FSU. It really has no bearing. Would you have preferred just a reminder how Mack has lost to FSU as coach of U of L? I think not.Its mainly radio callers and FB Cards fans that are so anti-Mack.
They were spouting that Coach Mack has never beaten FSU. i had to not so gently remind them.

$4 Million doesn't give you the power to make our guards taller, more physical, better defenders and better ball handlers and shooters..Needs to run some half-court offense. I’ll wait as well. He’s our coach and I support him but doesn’t mean I can’t question some things and has nothing to do with “dick”. Obviously you have some feelings about it. Oh yeah by the way CRP did make FF in year 4. I know, I know but he didn’t have scandals weighing him down. Excuses are already being lined up.You criticize your way and I’ll criticize my way. You seem to pray at the altar of the $7 million man and I think our $4 million dollar man is doing just fine. OVERALL. I think I’ll just wait until CCM gets his recruits here and see how he does at that point. I believe that’ll be about 2 more seasons. I believe we gave “dick” Pitino time to get his recruits in here and I think our present staff deserves the same consideration.

Mack's had two cracks at grad transfers and one at high school grads. When does he start to catch "blame" for his roster if that's the problem?FSU is long and athletic. We have a team that doesn’t a have a point guard that can really run half court sets or beat pressure.
A coach can run a play, but if the players just aren’t capable of running it effectively and other teams are equipped to defend it, can’t really blame Mack for it right now.
Mack's had two cracks at grad transfers and one at high school grads. When does he start to catch "blame" for his roster if that's the problem?
And to make sure we're comparing apples to apples...
Pitino was paid $5 million annually by U of L, which means that U of L is paying Mack 80% of what it was paying Pitino. And their buyout terms are the same. Of course, their resumes aren't comparable....
I think those asterisks are in the HOF...Youre correct.
One resume has 4 asterisks.
I think those asterisks are in the HOF...
Pitino has a lot of cracks at guys too early on, but made the NIT his first season. We didn’t really have a contender until year 4. But that didn’t dampen my support because I knew he’d get us on topMack's had two cracks at grad transfers and one at high school grads. The first sentence of his HOF bio says he was the first and only coach to win a NC at two different schools. Not because of what he did here
Those are in the hall of shame
Mack was the best clowns could get. You’ve lowered your bar......Mack was the best on the board we could get...
We’ve had this discussion ad nauseum. What we have now is a good coach with a $12 million buyout who struggles against Leonard Hamilton. I’m waiting and hoping for that to improve...And just whom would you have been willing to pay either $4 or $5 million to at the time of the replacement of “dick”?...
I recall our new AD at the time quoted in the media proudly saying that he was gonna bring more fiscal accountability to coaching hires he makes. That sounded to me like he was ready to break from the pack...All these guys seem overpaid...
What we have now is a good coach with a $12 million buyout who struggles against Leonard Hamilton and Josh Pastner, but also beats Roy, Izzo, Bennett, and even Coach K!
Just some adjustments from game to game (specifically FSU). How about some halftime adjustments?$4 Million doesn't give you the power to make our guards taller, more physical, better defenders and better ball handlers and shooters..
When he gets past the Elite Eight, call me...

Maybe you need to submit a butthurt version of his bio...
