Needs to run some half-court offense. A double screen for DJ & Kimble is your adjustment from the previous game? Are you serious? It’s not like we haven’t seen these guys earlier this season. Earn your money.

Seriously, you are more qualified than Mack to run this team? We are tied for first in the ACC and it is March!

Granted, we were over ranked, But we were still ranked #1 in the country at one time during the season. When was the last time that happened?

He is recruiting with an NCAA storm cloud hanging over his head. We have gotten where we are this year with guards that would not start for half of the P5 teams in the country.

You honestly think "Vince" was gonna give Padgett a $3 million raise if he was retained? I highly doubt it...

I can’t speak for everyone, but I assumed David’s time as HC was going to be short lived, maybe Tyra felt the same.

Unless "Vince" was lying, Padgett had a chance for the job.

And if he had gone 25-6, he STILL wouldn't have been paid $4 million a year as the FT coach or anywhere close to that number...

You get paid by experience.
Coach Mack has been an assistant before being A HC for 9 years.
Padgett had zero sssistant experience.
Do wish to know more.......

I was responding to the assertion than any coach in the U of L job would be highly paid. That's not necessarily true...

Youre a capitalist.
Thats the going rate for a Coach of his experience.
Say the Cards have hired Jay Wright (he'd never leave Nova)He could have commanded a 7-8 million dollar salary.

We're on the same page. The coach is paid what the coach is worth. Has far less to do with the job.

I THINK the guy I was responding to was using the U of L job itself as the reason Mack was paid $4 million. And that's not true. I'd say it's even less true with "Vince" who's pinching pennies...

Padgett did have a chance. He had a 5 month long interview and didn't get the job. While I don't think Padgett would have gotten 4 mil he would have made a lot more than 900k if he went 25-6 and made some noise in the tourney.
