In close games, the team who wins the turnovers, wins the game. JCA had 4 Naz 1...
Great season HILL better days ahead.

Could not agree more. JCA will not win another championship with the current coaching philosophy. It won't happen. The era has changed but the philosophy has not. Incredible respect for what was done by the coaching from prior to 2007. However, JCA is now a good program, not great. Can't win a big playoff game, Lost all the mystique and players will start to go elsewhere because of this. It was a great run, but it's done. So sorry to see this happen.Time for a change. Joliet Catholic does not win big games anymore. They choke. They don't adjust offensively or defensively. When is the last time Joliet Catholic won a playoff game that mattered. 2007. Too much talent has gone through the halls of that school for eight years for there not to be another state championship. I'm tired of hearing about the young D-Coordinator too. The old one was replaced because his schemes didn't work against the spread. The replacement can't figure out how to adjust to Nazareth or Montini adjustments. I'm sure Naz deserved the win. Don't want to take away from them. I hope they win it all. Just tired of one flame out after another at JC.
I had yet another unpleasant experience --- the parking lot clown was as big of donkey's south end as had been discussed. Is he that rude to Naz people too?
He seemed wound up like he was going to suit up and play. A shorter version of Richard is the impression he left on me.
Yes Sir...... could not have put it any better......Three things stick out from the game, IMO:
1. JC turnovers....the muffed handoff on the first play cannot happen. Then, the pick-six on the next possession, and they are down by two TD's in a blink of an eye. Never felt like they seriously threatened Naz afterwards. The late fumble at the goal line when they were going in didn't help either, but they were down 2 TD's at that point.
2. Naz defense....even after the horrible start, JCA had a number of chances to tie the game. Got to the Naz 30 at the end of the first half, and the drive stalled. Got a big INT on the first possession of the 2nd half in Naz territory and couldn't do anything with it. Had another chance with good field position and couldn't get it done. Naz' defense came up huge. Of course, the JC play calling left a lot to be desired, but props to the Naz D.
3. Julian Love....best individual performance since Dergo in 2005 against JCA, IMO. Made numerous plays in the box on defense. Had the big play on the screen pass to put Naz up 21-7, then the dagger on the long run from the wildcat to salt the game away. It reminded me of watching a youth football game where one kid dominates on both sides of the ball. He plays the game at a different speed. No question who the best player on the field was today. Even Sportsmom would agree with that.....without the stats to back it up.

Too many early mistakes and too much Love: He owned the field on both sides of the ball.
Congrats to Naz. They will be a tough out.

I did get seat though.
Penlight,
Sorry you had to deal with that...he is, how shall I say, an equal opportunity offender. No one is safe, in fact, he may even be tougher on some of the Naz folks. I drove in with NazDad as my ambassador so I had no issues today, I got the royal treatment.
