I feel like that's basically 100% guaranteed in this instance. One of the more ridiculous stories I've ever heard, he should have thought a little longer on it, imo
Yea something odd about the whole thing. Truth will come out eventually. I am sure it is something that will cause him embarrassment.

Probably got run over by the same cameraman who got Tiger's tooth.

Tiger is lying about his tooth. Either there is truth to the Elin thing, or he had it knocked out when he wrecked that night (my thought) but no swollen lip or cut on his face and a lost tooth, huh?

Just another dumbass PR move by him and Steiny to make that lie up. Watch, when he does interviews at Phoenix, I doubt he lies about it again, I bet he somehow says he got it fixed without answering the specific question about the photographer.

So many dumb PR moves by that guy through the years. Not that this is a huge deal but it's just not believable with no cameraman to be interviewed, no swollen lip and no pictures of it happening?

Looks like Big Cat got a new tooth. They say he is hitting it further with the driver which coincides with his faster swing speed with this new swing.
I'm interested to see how this year goes. I'd like to see him at least tie Snead and get 3 wins this year.

More information on the Robert Allenby story. Should have just come clean from the start if this information is correct.

What's up with all the bogeys, cawood? I always forget it's Thurs and didn't set my dvr. Just started watching. On the bright side, at 125th he's ahead of 3 guys in the field right now.

Never mind. I read TigerTracker on twitter. Apparently he can't hit drives, approaches, putts nor, especially, chips today.

Basically the same ol same ol. Rifling drives 50 yards right of the fairway and he's muffed a half-dozen chips. He bladed a routine pitch and knocked it over the green.

But he's getting closer.

My boy has the yips, the great Tiger Woods has the yips. This is something VERY hard to come back from.

He needs to play a lot of tournament rounds. He needs tons of reps both in practice but more importantly in competition if he is going to solve his issues. He can compete off the tees but his short game is atrocious right now and if he can't get it fixed he is finished in major competitive play. The modern tour players are just too good now. He looks like he is as healthy as he has been since 2008 and seems to have gotten back a lot of his swing speed.

If there is anyone who can make it it happen it is him. I have felt and continue to feel that he has a lot left in the tank and will write a pretty good story to the next chapter of his career. May not break Jack's record but do think he will find a way to win at least 1 or 2 more majors.

^ true. Swing speed and more distance is back. Needs TOURNAMENT reps. He will dial in driver a little more, irons a little more but the chip yips are a REAL issue. Does he need a sports psychologist? If he goes to Torrey and does the same thing I say yes, yes he does.

Hasn't been right since he got off the juice.... Why the number of wins and women were about the same.
My opinion.... I think he was using something...

^ This!

Once he stopped using whatever he was on, his body started breaking down on him, and he started feeling pain. Trying to come back, changing coaches like some change clothes made it worse, trying to change his natural swing hurt. Now he had some bad weeks, bad rounds, bad scores and has become mental now. Yips is nerves, plain and simple. Yips can affect all phases of your short game, and that was Tiger's strength for so long. Yips drove Johnny Miller out of the game, long noted as one of the best ball strikers, ever.

Tiger spent WAY too much time and effort tinkering/changing a swing that didn't need changing, to the detriment of his once great short game.

Time for a sports psychologist. Not sure he can climb out of this hole on his own. No words for this.

Tiger will miss the cut and struggle big time again this week. He will eventually find ihis game again I would assume but a lost season wouldn't surprise me. He is chasing only one record at this point and it's Snead's. It wouldn't bother me if he put the clubs down for a solid year, didn't watch golf or practice and comeback in a year without any coach. His mind is gone and honestly may need a psychologist to get out of this. Really not any words for it.

My only explanation is that Earl kept Tiger's mind right all those years. With him gone, his mind has gone from his strongest asset to by far his weakest.

Also, the guy who does the GCTigerTracker on twitter might kill himself this year, judging from his on-course tweets from Phoenix and so far this week.

^Earl wouldn't allow 90% of the **** that he's done and would have him with right coaches. What's shocking is is that he had an awesome year in 2013 and was injured all last year and that's no excuse. How in the world has this chipping thing come about? He's used to playing army golf but at least his short game could save him.

I hope like hell it's in between swings and technique because he can get through that but if it's mental and he's reached some touch up mental state no telling what will happen. Some say I can fix him in a session on the range and others say it's more mental and this will take awhile. All I can say if it's mental it's possible you don't ever recover.

Age and health is against him as well. Look at all the 25 and unders just crushing the ball, they look like Gumby. OTOH, Tiger looks like an old 39.

Tiger blades first chip
This is probably a season and maybe even a career lost.

I just LOL'ed at this post. I mean, this is madness. Has he somehow been cloned to only look like his former self?

I was going to jokingly say "bad back in 3, 2, 1..." after his terrible approach on his 2nd hole (11). But it appears to really be true.
