He sucks! Plain and simple.... His lines don't do anything, he doesn't develop talent, and DL (which had immense depth and talent when he first got here) has taken a HUGE step back.

I mean, come on. The only Defensive Linemen from UK who have signed with NFL teams under Brumbaugh's supervision are Bud Dupree who went in the first (after being projected 3rd round the year before), Big Z (what a flop, amirite?), Melvin Lewis just signed with the Giants, CJ Johnson just signed with uh... With..... Uh... Where was I going with this?

Anyway, Brumbaugh SUCKS. Disregard that Meant went from not having much technique to playing lights out at times last season, forget that Elam does his job, forget that the line has improved overall pretty much consistently since Coach B has been here, I want Brumbaugh out! There ain't nothing you people can do with your fancy logic to change my darn mind!

It's all on Stoops and his *** is the one on the line...

If he feels comfortable with Brumbaugh, then so do I...

Great post JP! UK has all the tools to make a bowl game. Heck, they had them last year. It's all going to boil down to qb production. Even last year, the dline was serviceable. The main thing lacking in the dline was pass rush, which meant would've helped tremendously. I'm not worried about Brumbaugh or the dline. If Barker plays well, people are going to be shocked in 2016.

I'm sorry but when a team is 96th in the country in rush defense and 28th in yards given up passing the DL has issues more critical than pass rush. Kentucky fans are trying to solve a problem by acting as if it doesn't exist. That guarantees certain failure.

Development of cj showed me brumbaugh is at least serviceable. Speaks more about his immense production after the NFL didn't draft him.

Plus Melvin Lewis was playing very well too.

It's taken Stoops 4 years to realize a Green Head Coach should hire experienced Coordinators. He's finally hired Gran. Maybe he will wake up and hire someone on Defense, and maybe switch up some more position coaches as well. It is what it is continue to support blindly.

I'm assuming the OP is being a bit sarcastic with this one :) Dline seems to be the only area where Cats are having luck in the draft, along with LB.

If anything the draft shows just how far UK still has to go. Hoping to actually care about the NFL draft in the next few years with more and more UK guys getting their names called!

To me the question is how long will UK be able to keep Brumbaugh? I think he's a good young coach who's laying groundwork for UK eventually having a good DL. Now that Lewis/CJ have signed FA deals he's put 4 guys either in the NFL or having a good shot at getting there in a very short period of time. No other UK position coach can say that. Others will come calling for him after this year or next. Will UK be able to retain him?

I think Brumbaugh has done fantastic as a teacher and developer. I'm not sure how he stacks up against other position coaches in recruiting but he seems to be at least average in that department. I like him. Hope we can hang on to him a while.

Okay. What can UK fans do to prevent failure? I'm pretty sure how the fans act has zero impact on UK's success.

All a fan can do is provide support and don't do anything that makes UK and/or it's fans look bad. That includes some basic courtesy on social networks.

Something tells me you baited this trap just right. Anxious to see what you caught.

OP... you devilishly put your tongue so completely in your cheek you left no room for the "crow" that those quick to rush to judgement are trying to stuff down your throat...BRAVO for sarcasm!

Great post OP. JB has made the most out of what he had to work with. If he leaves it will be for a better offer. In fact, he has turned down two offer for more money in the last year. He is an optimistic dude and he is all in with Coach Stoops. He can sell somebody on Stoops better than Stoops can sell somebody on Stoops.
